Guided Whitewater Kayaking Around Iceland

Estimated price
$205 / person

If you're a paddler on the hunt for some classic Icelandic whitewater? Then book the Midnight Rafting on the East Glacial River! Rates starting from ISK 24,990 per person.  This is a midnight version of our already kick-ass Whitewater Action trip! We run a special trip on the longest Friday of the year to celebrate the endless arctic summer sun, just because we can! This trip usually sells out, so be sure to book here if you're interested in being a part of this year's celebration (simply select the 20:00 departure for the June 28th Whitewater Action trip). Fire & Ice Creek Race (and the rest of the fest!) This summer, we have taken the Midnight Sun River Festival to the next level and beyond! The program for this action-packed summer solstice weekend includes all the favourite events and activities from previous years, and of course the Third Annual Fire and ice creek race, Iceland's first-ever Red Bull sponsored international kayaking. With competition prizes, raffle prizes, and a lineup of live music, bonfires, camping, good food and drink, and a gathering of great people, we hope to see you at Iceland's one and only outdoor adventure festival! As usual, the festivities kick off on Friday evening in true adventurous style with an overnight rafting trip down the legendary canyon section of Jökulsá-Austari (East Glacial River) where we take on all the same world-class rapids and stunning scenery that most only get to do by day. Saturday takes us to Barká (10 minute drive off the Highway #1, 15 km west of downtown Akureyri), for the roadside competitions of the Fire and ice creek race, the only "extreme" whitewater race of its kind in Iceland. Created by paddlers and open to everyone, this event is dedicated to kayakers, travellers, locals, spectators, and anyone who appreciates a good splash of adventure, likes to celebrate the beauty of our great outdoors, or is simply searching for the wildest way to worship the midnight sun on the longest day of the year!  If you have any questions, we can answer those through GetMyBoat’s messaging platform before you pay. Just hit, “Request to Book” and send us an inquiry for a custom offer.
