The close proximity of the Molokai, Lanai and Maui (the Maui County Islands) means short sails between these very different and beautiful islands. During the winter months, you’ll be delighted and astounded by up-close-and-personal humpback whale watching in these waters. Lanai Anchor on the remote “backside” at Nanahoa (Five Needles) and enjoy fabulous snorkeling. Menele Bay: beautiful beach with 5-star resort. Dolphins often come into the bay in the morning. After days on the boat, our guests love the feel of luxury if they wander up to the resort and often treat themselves to an evening at the piano bar or restaurant. Maui Lahaina, and historic whaling village, shopping, browse classy art galleries; enjoy a restaurant and/or a cold beer at the historic Pioneer Inn. The Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary is located here. Honolua Bay on Maui’s northwest coast is a wonderful anchorage with more great snorkeling. Molokai Overnight at Hale o Lono, a quiet non-descript anchorage but a walk ashore will find you on your own beautiful, private beach.Kaunakakai: the island’s only town. Kalaupapa Peninsula, Papohaku Beach: beautiful! North shore Molokai: boasts the sea cliffs in the world rise 3,000 ft above sea level…awesome. During winter Maui County is best area for spotting whales. Option #2 For day sails, enjoy a wonderful down-wind sail to west end (Makaha) where there is beautiful snorkeling and possible dolphin encounters and nice anchorages or sail along Waikiki and Diamond head and snorkel with sea turtles. Overnight; Sail from Ala Wai Harbor Honolulu, Ko’ Olina (next to Disney resort), Polkai Bay, lots of dolphins, snorkeling on the way, Haleiwa Bay, Waimea Bay, end Haleiway or reverse back to Honolulu (Depending on length of trip and weather), (captains option) Kaneohe Bay, windward side Oahu, this is the only barrier reef in the Hawaiian Islands. When you wake up here in the morning you will think you have reached nirvana. There is great snorkeling, including encounters with green sea turtles. Honolulu with famous Waikiki, enjoy surfing, sunbathing, night life and fine restaurants, world class shopping. Many on island things to do and see. The boat is docked right in the heart of Honolulu. Lots of cultural things to see and do. Waikiki beach walk, IoIani Palace, King Kamehameha statue, China town, Bishop museum, Doris Dukes home "Shangri La", Pearl Harbor Arizona Memorial and much more. You can dine on your private yacht or try some of the finest restaurants in the world ashore. All close by. Option #3 Kauai is called the garden island, more waterfalls, uncrowded beaches, Hanalei Bay and the Napali coast, Kipu Kai, Allerton Bay, Kalapaki Bay, Hanamaulu Bay are world famous for beauty, unspoiled. For short trips sailing to and from Kalapaki Bay, off the East shore of Kauai, fish along the way or view Kipu Kai, Hanamaulu Bay back to Nawiliwili Harbor. Overnight from Kalapaki Bay to Port Allen, Allerton Bay or Wahiaway Bay then back to Nawiliwili Harbor. For longer trips, depending on seasonal weather, 4 days to 2 weeks, sailing down the North shore Napali coast to Nuololo Kai, accessible only by boat, where there is a reef and lagoon with ruins of an ancient Hawaiian village. There you would be the only boat literally anchored in the middle of the Pacific. You could dive off the boat and be surrounded by sea turtles, tropical fish, monk seals, spinner dolphins right in their own untouched wild habitat. From there sail all day across to "the forbidden island" of Niihau. A band of 200 Hawaiians have never left and still speak Hawaiian. The last trip there we found glass balls on beaches and bays with not a foot print on them. There are ruins of a heiau (temple). The cleanest purist water you will ever see, with 100' visibility. You can anchor in Hanalei Bay (Puff the Magic Dragon song) which is by far the most beautiful bay in Hawaii. Swim or dingy ashore to beach or village of Hanalei. Kayak the Hanalei River; hike the world famous Kalalau trail to Jungle waterfalls and pools. Option #4 Big Island (Hawaii Island) Come and discover the magic of sailing along the Kohala Coast of Hawai'i Island, also known as the Big Island. Watch for whales and dolphins, snorkel with turtles, marvel at the soft feel of the turquoise water on your skin, fish, enjoy appetizers as you savor the sunset, learn to sail, or sit back and relax and let yourself be captured by the beauty of the island. The boat is yours while you are on board, and we cater each trip around the things you would like to see and do. An elegant and comfortable sail boat, a sail is a highlight of any trip to Hawai'i. We do a very limited amount of trips. All of these trips are very special, my customers often tell me it is the best vacation they have ever taken. It really is the only thing like this available in Hawaii. You would probably never meet anyone even in Hawaii that has done or seen what you will.
