If the captain cancels due to unsafe conditions or inclement weather, the trip will be rescheduled. There are no refunds for bookings that don't show or decide to cancel last minute. Late arrivals may detract from the overall booking time. Please be ready to go at your designated start time and plan for possible roadway traffic and parking time. We require a minimum 20% gratuity payment in addition to the base charter cost. This will be charged by Cape Ann Cruises, and is non-negotiable. Boat charters are a service-based industry - gratuity is customary and crew rely on gratuity as part of their expected pay. All onboard drinks, if any will be charged a 20% gratuity or a flat uncorking BYOB fee if applicable of $10/guest. Captain and crew have the right to prohibit or limit anyone from drinking alcohol onboard for any reason. Outside catering is ok - note that $100 outside catering fee may apply for groups or 15 passengers or if guests do not clean up after themselves. Cape Ann Cruises catering orders are taken after booking, and preferred 2 weeks in advance of the event and may be found online. Trips over 10 nautical miles will have a fuel surcharge assessed of $5 per nautical mile. The captain retains sole authority over the vessel regarding safety and navigation decisions. Unsafe and belligerent behavior from guests may result in trip cancellations and forfeiture of payments with no refunds. Please be respectful of the professional captain and crew who have your safety in mind. The booking party and their guests understand that a boat is a moving platform and the ocean has waves and movement and will assume responsibility for holding on or staying seated and any normal risks associated with boating, walking down dock ramps and docks, as well as boarding the boat. A complete passenger lists with full name and email is required in advance of the trip and can be emailed to Cape Ann Cruises after booking and before the trip start.
