Frequently Asked Questions

What is included in the charter price?

Most of the charter rates are based on a base price with the addition of taxes and a suggested Approved Provisioning Allowance (APA) for food and beverages, fuel and other requests during the charter period. As a general rule, we suggest the client adds 40% for this APA. This 40% is based on actual consumption and is billed “at cost”: any remaining funds will be returned to the charterer at the completion of the trip. We also arrange preset packages that incorporate a fixed fee.

What are other expenses and how are they calculated?

The base charter rate includes the yacht in working order, crew wages and a third-party marine insurance policy. All other operating expenses are payable by the charterer’s APA. The APA, is essentially a cash fund that is used to deduct relevant yacht charter expenses.

Delivery fee’s may be incurred when embarking in a destination that is away from the yacht’s home port. These are fuel-only expenses and are calculated based on the yacht’s general fuel consumption. These fee’s are deducted from the APA (Approved Provisioning Account).

Tipping Policy

The standard tipping policy is between 10-15% of the Base Charter Rate. This amount can be deducted directly from the APA (Approved Provisioning Account).

Will the yacht have Wifi? Can I stay connected to my office?

We understand that staying connected is a priority. We work with state-of-the-art super yachts that have the very best in global satellite communication technology. Do you need high-speed Internet access? We offer a range of Communication Packages for those clients that requirement higher bandwidth.
