The beaches of Valencia are vast with soft sand and gentle waves. Valencian beaches are great for enjoying water sports, boating, and swimming. From Valencia, you can cruise by motor yacht to nearby Javea, Denia, or even all the way to Alicante to see more of the Costa Blanca and stop at various beaches along the way.
The best time to visit Valencia to enjoy the beaches and the Mediterranean is during the shoulder months of summer. May and June or September can be great times to visit for boating, beach days, and swimming, with warm temperatures and sunshine but without the crazy crowds.
A day in Valencia must consist of at least some time at the beach. Laying out in the sun on the sand, renting surfboards or kayaks, book a boat tour to swimming coves, or try a water sport like kitesurfing to fill a day with fun and activity in Valencia.
