Frequently Asked Question

Can I choose another starting base?

In high season Paros is easily accessible from Athens, Mykonos or Santorini where you will probably land. Paros is a good base to start sailing around the Cyclades: it is central located and easy to find all the necessary and get ready for a week.

In low and middle seasons at your request, we can evaluate the possibility of another starting base, including other areas of the Aegean Sea like Dodecanese or North Aegean islands.

How do I come to Paros?
You have different options:
• flight to Athens + domestic flight to Paros (around 45 minutes), see companies Olympic, Aegean or Sky express
• flight to Athens + ferry from Piraeus to Paros (around 4 hours)
• flight to Mykonos + ferry to Paros (around 45 minutes)
• flight to Santorini + ferry to Paros (around 2 to 3 hours)

Why do I have to leave a deposit?
The captain takes all responsibility concerning the sailing aspects, potential injuries on the yacht and other yachts. As renter of the yacht you have full use of the yacht but also the responsibility that's why you'll be asked to leave a €3000 deposit in case you are responsible of any damage (loss of equipment such as cushions, bedlinen, kitchen gear, fenders...)

The deposit will be taken and it will be given back to you at the end of the week if you are not responsible of any damage.

What do I need to bring with me?
Don't forget to take sun protection (hat, sunscreen, light shirt...) something warm for the evening.

Choose light travel bags over suitcases. The supplied towels are to be used onboard and not on the beach.

How is the food managed?
In Paros you can go directly to the supermarket located right in front of the port. We can go with you and advice you concerning the local specialties and other products you can discover in the greek islands.

Can I book only one cabin?
The yacht is to be rented entirely for 1 to 6 people, there is no single price. The yacht is usually rented by couples, families or groups of friends.

If you wish to reduce the cost, we suggest you to gather with friends or members of your family to share the costs.

Who's in charge of cooking and cleaning?
The captain is in charge of sailing and security onboard, you will be in charge of keeping the common areas clean and preparing meals for you and the captain.

If you prefer not to be in charge of these duties we suggest you to choose to hire a hostess so you will only have to fully enjoy your vacation.

How much will I have to pay on site?
The additional cost on site cannot be defined precisely in advance it depends on the weather and the choices you will make. Consider around 70€ for fuel, 20€ for water consumption, 150€ for food per person. If you wish to eat in restaurants you will usually pay 10 to 15€ per person, 20€ a night if you spend the night in a port.

These are average numbers for guidance only.
