I highly recommend booking with Theo for a gorgeous day out on the water in Rhodes. From the first inquiry, the team was so helpful and made our day so perfect we didn’t want it to end. The vessel was stocked with drinks and the food onboard was fantastic! It was a great afternoon and we’d absolutely go again if we were back. Thank you so much for a great experience!

2006 Azimut 53' Yacht Charter in Rodos Mandraki Harbour

We had a great day on Philipp’s boat. He picked us up from Lindos and dropped us off in Mandraki Port. Philipp and Sam were friendly hosts, going out of their way to make the trip comfortable and easy, and provided a great selection of fresh fruit, pastries, beer, wine and soft drinks. We stopped at the beautiful Kallithea beach for swimming and relaxing before continuing our journey. Pro-tip if you’re thinking about taking the same journey: send your luggage by taxi separately, as lugging heavy luggage to the pier in Lindos is either a 10 minute walk over sand and narrow hill tracks or a downhill climb of similar length with many stairs, which isn’t fun in the Lindos heat.

What a wonderful family day we had with an amazing crew. Fillipe provided quite the tour around the most highlighted bays in Rhodes. We are very grateful for the family time and hospitality from the crew. The boat was beautiful and maintained to perfection. We absolutely recommend to anyone visiting the Island. Such a wonderful time! Thank you for making memories.

Boating Guide - Rhodes

Rent a Boat in Rhodes, Greece

The ideal place for a boat trip is Rhodes, Greece. It offers beautiful coastlines, beaches, island-hopping, and other exploration opportunities. Book a boat tour or charter a yacht for at least one day of your holiday in Rhodes.

Visitors can expect to find almost any type of vessel they want to sail the waters around Rhodes. This includes speedboats, sailboats, cruising monohulls, jet skis, bowriders, and yachts. The bigger boats are available for charter with a captain for the day to best navigate to the hotspots.

The most popular boat charter in Rhodes is the yacht, which people like to use to sail to nearby islands, like Kos and Simi. Visitors enjoy going to Kos because it has the Hippocrates tree, which is believed to be the place where Hippocrates used to teach medicine.

If you want some peace and quiet after you charter or rent your boat, you can cruise to the west coast so you can get to Halki. Halki is an uninhabited island and one of the smallest in the Dodecanese. It affords visitors a chance to relax on the beach and swim in peace.

Other Things to do in Rhodes, Greece

If boating is not your thing, then you might want to try surfing. Rhodes has plenty of winds, such as the Meltemi winds in the summer, making it a very good place to catch some waves. The winds can go as high as six when measured on the Beaufort scale. Such winds are usually found on the west and north sides of Rodos, particularly in Ixia, making it a surfer’s paradise. Windsurfers are also in luck because the south is full of great places to windsurf, such as the Prasonisi peninsula. Great places for surfing in the south include Trianda, Theologos, Kremasti, and Fanes. You can rent a board for a day of paddling out on your own or take a lesson with a professional.

Divers are also in luck. Rodos also has plenty of vibrant underwater dive sites. Some of the best spots are near Kallithea, an area with plenty of hot springs. It's in the northeastern part of the island. If you don’t know how to dive, you can learn through a certification course with a qualified instructor. The area has plenty of diving schools that offer supervised dives from places like Plimiri, Pefkos, Lindos, and Kolymbia.

People looking to have fun with the family can head over to Faliraki, where they will find an exciting water park. It has an aqua gym, wave pool, a pirate ship, water slide and plenty other fun and exciting ways to enjoy the water.

For some wakeboarding and waterskiing action, you can rent equipment or take a lesson. Spend some time catching air and waves behind a speedboat in the beautiful setting of Rodos!

Marinas to rent a boat in Rhodes, Greece

Mandraki marina is the oldest harbor in Rodos. It has bronze statues of a doe and deer at its entrance that welcome anyone who sails past them. It's a public marina and has minimal amenities. For modern facilities and amenities, you'll have to visit the private and modern marinas. At Mandraki, you'll have a shelter for your boat and the good company of other boaters. Since there are plenty of yachts, you will find that the marina usually has a lot of fouled anchors. There is a big mooring chain that can be easily fouled 30m away from the quay.

If you are looking for more modern facilities and amenities, then there is a private marina in Rodos called Rhodes Marina. It was built to be a high-class marina and has exquisite management. The marina is environmentally friendly and secure. Anyone looking for VIP facilities and quality services should park their boat here. They are still building and upgrading Rhodes Marina in hopes of making it one of the best in the world.
