Rent a boat in Page, Arizona

There’s no shortage of boating options in Page or for renting a boat on Lake Powell. Houseboats, pontoon rentals, fishing, water-skiing, jet-skiing, and kayaking are some of the ways to enjoy the bays of the lake.

Renting a houseboat is a particularly popular option for people looking to spend a few nights exploring and camping in the magic of Lake Powell. Booking far in advance during the peak summer months is important, as many people use houseboat rentals as their transport and camping option of choice. It's permitted to camp on the shore of the lake, so if you have your gear, don't forget to bring it onboard.

Bowrider boats are also a popular choice for people looking to cruise around at a higher speed and explore more areas of the lake. For sporty folks, kayak, canoe, and stand-up paddleboarding rentals are easy to come by at different access points on Lake Powell. It’s a great lake to do these water sports in because of the different bays and enclaves that are protected from the wind and higher boat traffic. It’s also a very popular lake for water skiing, and you can rent the needed equipment along with your boat at the marina.

About Page, AZ

Famous for the Grand Canyon, miles of desert, the Red Rocks of Sedona, and is hot and dry, Arizona isn’t exactly the first place that comes to mind when thinking about boating. In the north of the state, however, is Lake Powell, an oasis for boaters, nature lovers, and water sports enthusiasts.

Lake Powell is the second-largest man-made reservoir in the United States. Created by a dam of the Colorado River, it’s a lake with some of the most beautiful views in the American Southwest. The lake expands over the border of Arizona and Utah, near the famous landmarks of Rainbow Bridge, the Glen Dam, and the Hite Crossing Bridge. It expands over miles and miles, with different canyons, sandy beaches, and coves along the perimeter. It’s a fantastic destination to stop at for a day of boating or a few nights of camping.

The best time to visit Page, Arizona, is during the shoulder season of April-May and Sept-October. This avoids the punishing heat of peak summer while still providing warm weather for enjoying a day of boating. Temperatures in the summer months can be well into the 90s, while the shoulder seasons will see around 65-low 80s.

Highly recommend booking with Tanner. We had a group of 30+ ranging from 1 to 75 years and everyone had a blast! He was great to accommodate everyone and make trips to switch off riders. He gave great tips to everyone wake surfing to help them improve and overall provided a super fun and memorable experience for our family reunion. We’ll definitely book again with him in the future and you should too!

The boat is not some $100,000 Mastercrqft, but that is its strong suit. We needed a great runabout for a lake day and Jeff delivered. He is nearly immediately responsive, he tells you exactly what to expect, he is flexible and easy going, and he is prompt. Would totally rent from him again!

Chris and Stewart were awesome and fun while providing a safe experience. The boat was brand new and comfortable while providing a perfect wake. It was the first time for us to wake and surf and they were patient when needed but great instructors as well. They also provided refreshments to keep us hydrated and cool. Definitely booking them again on our next trip.
