A yacht rental in Cartagena costs between $500 and $2000 per day for a full charter. You can book tours on a yacht for about $60/person if you’re willing to go boating with a group. Private yacht charters can cost much more, but on average around $1000/day.
The Rosario Islands are reached from Cartagena on boat charters. You can explore on a catamaran, powerboat, or a small water taxi. The best way to experience the Rosario Islands is on a day trip by catamaran, where you’ll have plenty of space to relax and sunbathe, jump into the waters for a swim, and have a meal and drinks onboard.
Cholon is on the edge of Cartagena’s old town and is the launching spot for boats going to nearby islands. You can walk to Cholon to rent a boat for a day, or take a taxi from anywhere within Cartagena.
Cartagena and the Caribbean coast of Colombia offers some of the best snorkeling in the country. With crystal clear blue waters, fish, coral reefs, and hot, sunny weather year-round, it’s a great place for snorkeling in Colombia.
The boat was so comfortable and the staff really helpful. It was easy to schedule this trip and Alexander was excellent with communication. He reached out frequently and even made lunch reservations for us on the island.
The boat was really nice and we had really good time visiting different islands, swimming, snorkeling and relaxing on the boat. If you don't speak or understand Spanish please make sure you confirm that you have English speaking captain, we had this issue. Google translate helped but it was still not ideal. Also, please clarify if snorkeling equipment is included or not.
Alexander, his captain (Jose) and boat were impeccably perfect. Alexander’s communication was fast and reliable. As an avid boater myself, I can attest the boat is well maintained, has a great sound system and comfortable seating. We felt safe with Jose at the helm navigating the Rosario islands and taking us to spectacular locations. I highly recommend Alexander, his boat, and his captain. Alex and his Captain are professionals and made us feel very safe and comfortable throughout the experience.
We had the best day on Alex's boat. Our driver, Luis, was knowledgeable and helpful. We had the best lunch (take Alex's recommendation- one of the best meals we've ever had) and spent all day stopping at islands and swimming. Thank you Alex and Luis for a perfect day!
Alexander was great to communicate with. He was prompt in his responses and answered all our questions. Jose was our captain. He is learning English and took us to some of the less touristy beaches. He was fun to talk with and made the trip a pleasure. Would totally recommend their services!
Our experience was amazing! Our Captain and co captain were so hospitable and really took care of us. We had the time of our lives and felt super safe! Would definitely recommend booking this trip and will be booking again on our next trip to Cartagena!

Cartagena is a wonderful destination for tours. Inhabited for thousands of years before Europeans arrived, the native peoples fished the abundant ocean waters. Many of Cartagena's oldest buildings can be found in the Centro and Getsemaní districts, with classic Spanish colonial detailing dating back to the early 1600s.
The city is famous for its sugar-white beaches; Playa Blanca is one of the most popular spots to soak up the sun and enjoy the famously clear Caribbean water by snorkeling around the coral reefs.
