The Leopard 38 is a purpose-built cruising catamaran; its second-generation redesign offers a wide, stable platform with a well-integrated helm station and two distinct interior layout options. Its shallow-draft keels and moderate bridge-deck clearance are well-suited for sheltered-water cruising, while the twin-engine configuration makes it forgiving to handle in marinas. The tall rig and centralized control lines reflect a modern approach to cruising, though the sail area-to-displacement (SA/D) ratio suggests it is not a high-speed, lightweight performer. A generous 19'9" beam resulting in a length-to-beam (L/B) ratio of 1.9, provides exceptional interior volume relative to its length overall (LOA).
