Oranjestad is the capital and largest city on Aruba, an incredible tourist destination for visitors looking for white, sandy beaches, a relaxing vacation, and the charming mix of the Caribbean and Dutch culture, with colorful architecture and markets. It’s the “A” of the ABC islands - the other two being Bonaire and Curacao, all part of the Dutch Lesser Antilles.
Visiting Oranjestad is pleasant at any time of year, with warm temperatures and sunny skies being the norm. While October through January is technically the rainy season, there aren’t any floods or long tropical storms, but rather short bursts of showers that would hardly impact your day. It’s also outside of Hurricane Alley, so your chances of having a severe storm ruin your vacation are meager compared to other Caribbean islands.
To get to Oranjestad, take a flight directly to the international airport. From there, you can rent a car or use taxis to get around. There are also buses, and many people rent bikes since the city center is relatively small and manageable. You can often walk between all your destinations while on the island. You can also arrive by cruise ship.
This experience was definitely a memorable one. I booked this yacht for my birthday and it was PERFECT! From beginning to end, everything was beautifully coordinated and organized. Captain Colin was so friendly, polite, and respectful. We didn’t catch the lady’s name that was also helping on the yacht, but she was just as friendly and helpful. She ensured that we had drinks at all times and that we didn’t need anything additional. There was not a single aspect of this experience that went unaccounted for or unthought of. 10/10 experience and we all definitely recommend!
Captain Germaine and Shaggy took us on the most exceptional 2 hour journey. They have the best sound system on the island!! They were attentive, friendly, hospitable, courteous & and so much FUN! They took us to an amazing snorkel spot and make sure we got a super close look at Aruba's finest fish. Highly recommend this boat charter, you won't regret it!
Awesome time! Colin and his partner went above and beyond to make my group’s time on the boat, a good one. The boat was perfectly described and so beautiful. Colin was also very accommodating and helpful!
We spent a fantastic four hours on John‘s boat in the afternoon and saw a beautiful sunset on our return to the marina. John has a great balance between being professional and knowledgeable and also chilled, funny and lots of fun. We were in great hands with him and Edwin, especially for my first time snorkelling - they gave helpful tips and made sure I felt safe. Such an enjoyable afternoon, great value, and highly recommended! Thanks again, John!
Title: A Spectacular Day on the Water with an Exceptional Captain Collin! Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) Review: I had the pleasure of experiencing a truly remarkable day out on the water thanks to Captain Collin and his fantastic boat. From start to finish, the entire experience was nothing short of exceptional. Captain Collin exuded a level of expertise and professionalism that immediately put our group at ease. The boat itself was a true gem – clean, well-maintained, and equipped with all the amenities needed for a comfortable and enjoyable outing. The attention to detail did not go unnoticed, and it added an extra layer of luxury to the entire experience. Whether we were basking in the sun on the spacious deck or lounging in the cozy cabin area, every moment felt like pure indulgence. What truly set this experience apart, though, was Captain Collin's and staff dedication to ensuring that everyone had a fantastic time. They tailored the trip to our interests, taking us to the best spots for sightseeing and swimming. Their friendly demeanor and willingness to engage with our group made the experience feel like we were out on the water with a close friend. Our day on the boat with Captain Collin exceeded all expectations, and it's an experience I won't soon forget. If you're looking for an unforgettable boating adventure with a captain who truly goes above and beyond, I wholeheartedly recommend booking with Captain Collin I can't wait for the opportunity to do it all over again!
We had the best time! Can’t recommend them enough. We went for a family day trip with two young kids and the trip couldn’t have been better! Jimmy and Vito are the best and made sure our family was a top priority. Would highly recommend! Can’t go wrong.
