Like the rest of the Xc range she has been now taken into the ‘Next Generation’ meaning more spacious swimming platform, enlarged hull port lights, improved storage and functionality in the interior. highly optimized hull shape offers exemplary performance in a range of wind conditions, on all angles of sail. The greater displacement allows for a heavier keel to be fitted. The large fuel and freshwater tanks and the heavy battery bank are all strategically located low and central in the yacht for excellent weight distribution. It also enables the Xc 45 to carry the perhaps most important and remarkable quality feature, the galvanized steel hul-keel girder frame. We introduced this design feature back in 1981 and is your guarantee that the keel attachment is done in the safest way possible. Lowering the centre of gravity optimizes the stability and allows for a well proportioned sail plan. The Xc 45 can make short work of any long passage. Any boat can go well downwind with a decent sailplan and hull shape. Flexible Sail plan, Easy To Handle We have engineered the sailplan of the Xc45 to be a perfect match to the sailing characteristics of the hull, offering a user-friendly and relaxing experience to the local Greek conditions. Space Is Luxury The 3 cabin layout, with two generously sized WCs/showers on a 45ft yacht is delivering lots of space everywhere, making living on board a truly relaxing experience. Ideally this yacht will comfortably accommodate 6 adults but if wished can sleep another one adult and one child in saloon area (check Layout & Accommodation details below ). The well-proportioned saloon gives the yacht a spacious feel, but well positioned hand rails and good furniture placement ensure it is always safe and easy to move around no matter the heel angle. Safe By Design The Xc45 incorporates 40yrs design experience of the Danish boat yard. The vacuum infused epoxy, full sandwich hull saves important weight and it maximizes strength and stiffness. All saved weight is used to increase the yachts’ stability enabling the crew to have a more relaxed time and to feel more safe and comfortable. The enclosed cockpit contributes in this direction as well. The steel frame is bolted to the inside of the hull and takes all the loads from the keel and mast. This keeps the yacht stiff, strong and safe. In the same aspect the lead bulb are encapsulated in a reinforced epoxy e-glass shell.
