Hi, I’m Captain Todd with Sunrise Charter Cruises — your licensed Minnesota boat captain and host for the day. I’ve been safely navigating Lake Minnetonka for over 3 years as a state-licensed captain, but I’ve spent even longer learning every channel, bay, and quiet cove this lake has to offer. Whether it’s a busy day on the lake or we get caught in unexpected weather, I know how to handle the boat and keep your group safe — with or without radar. But safety is just the beginning — I’m also here to make sure your cruise is smooth, comfortable, and exactly what you want it to be. This isn’t a speedboat or watersports charter — we cruise at a relaxed 8–10 mph. I don’t tow tubes, skis, or water toys. My focus is on the experience: sightseeing, lounging, celebrating, swimming, and enjoying Lake Minnetonka the way it was meant to be. I only get up on plane if there's an emergency — otherwise it’s all about cruising at a comfortable pace where you can move around, talk, dance, and soak it all in. Whether you’re here for a quiet couple’s cruise, a birthday bash, a Big Island swim-up party, or a family day on the water — I adapt to your vibe. Some groups want stories and lake trivia. Others just need someone to handle the boat and refill the cooler. I’m good either way. Pricing breakdown (2-hour minimum cruise): - $25 per person / hour - Weekday Minimum - $300 - Weekend Minimum (Fri - Sun) - $500 Here’s what’s always aboard: - A 27-foot Sea Ray Sundancer cabin cruiser (plenty of space inside and out) - A large cooler (110 qt) filled with ice (please avoid bringing your own cooler unless it’s a small one for something specific) - Beach towels, blankets, sunscreen, and plastic cups - Inflatable tubes for floating while anchored - Electric air pump if you bring your own floaties - Spotify Premium so your playlist sets the mood - Adult and child-sized life jackets, a throw ring, and a stocked first aid kit - Please go barefoot onboard — no shoes or sandals on the boat deck - Recommendations for swimming spots, restaurants, quiet coves, and scenic loops You’re also welcome to bring your own towels or extra amenities if you’d like — but I’ve got all the basics covered. A few things I recommend for a great day: - Please avoid bringing glass beer bottles — they’re easy to break and dangerous onboard - Plan to limit or avoid liquor — beer, seltzers, and hydration-friendly drinks make for a much better cruise - Drink plenty of water throughout the day — especially if it’s hot This is your cruise — I’m just here to make sure it’s relaxed, safe, and unforgettable. Let’s get you on the water.

We had an excellent trip with Todd! He communicated everything clearly ahead of time and everything went off without a hitch - he knows all the good spots on the lake. His boat is beautiful and well equipped and he made sure we had everything we needed. He was great with our kids and parents, and even helped us to find a table at a busy lunch spot when we took a break from swimming. It felt like heading out on a good friend's boat for the day. We would absolutely recommend him and are looking forward to the next trip. Thanks Captain Todd!

Wonderful lake Minnetonka experience! We explored the shoreline with the beautiful homes and anchored at big island to cool off. Todd took us anywhere we wanted to go and gave other great suggestions! Great afternoon on the lake!

5 stars! Todd was extremely responsive, accommodating, flexible and FUN! We’ll absolutely be calling him again to get out on Lake Minnetonka!
I absolutely love being on the water, gained skills to drive large cabin cruiser boats on lake Minnetonka. I know how to have fun and most importantly I know how to keep everyone safe on the water. I take a lot of pride in being able to get along well with many different personalities and age ranges. Come spend your weekend or weekday evening on a pleasant cruise with me. Right now the only boat on the lake with a bathroom and cabin for changing or if need be a place to lay down to rest.
You’ll get directions to the departure location when you make a booking.
Full refund up to 5 days prior.
