Eagle Preserve & Wildlife Rafting Trips in Haines

RAFTING TRIPS IN THE MILD RIVERS WILD SCENERY We are a locally owned and operated guiding service in Haines, Alaska. Company founder and lead guide Andy Hedden has been guiding, training and managing rafting operations in Southeast Alaska since 1994. His passion for the river and a desire to create a premier guiding service was the inspiration for the rafting company. Our mission is to provide a top tier outdoor experience for savvy travelers. We achieve this by offering small, personalized trips with expert guides through some of the wildest country on Earth. ✔ EAGLE PRESERVE RAFT TRIP Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve Raft Trip We float through the heart of the Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve. Our rafts are non-motorized and are ideal for bird watching and wildlife viewing. The guides do all of the rowing allowing you to relax and watch for wildlife such as bald eagles, moose, bears, wolves and wild alaskan salmon. This is not a whitewater trip. Cameras and binoculars are welcome. The 48,000 acre Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve was created in 1982 to protect bald eagles and their critical habitat. These river lowlands provide wild salmon and nesting trees to one of the largest concentrations of bald eagles on earth. The Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve Raft Trip offers the best opportunity to see eagles up close and in their natural habitat. Trip Cost • $119 per adult • $79 per child age 6 to 12 Price includes river boots, rain gear, lifejackets, and a hearty snack of locally caught smoked salmon and hot drinks. ✔ EAGLE PRESERVE RAFT TRIP & GLACIER FLIGHTSEEING Haines Fly and Raft The Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve is flanked by Glacier Bay National Park to the west and the Coast Mountains to the east. To the north lies the Tatshenshini – Alsek Provincial Park and the largest contiguous protected area in the world.
