Launched on May 2004 from the boatyard Bavaria in Monaco, it has been built in fiberglass with the deck and the interiors made of precious woods. Its inside spaciousness gives the possibility to comfortably house in up to twelve guests, ten in the five double cabins and two, if needed, in the large dinette area. The three bathrooms, comfortable and bright are fully accessorized and with hot water showers. In the saloon the spaciousness allows to move comfortably in the kitchen area, with its gas fires and oven, double sink, double refrigerators (one vertical and one horizontal) and one ice-box that together with the one outside in the cockpit, will provide fresh drinks and allows the food to be well preserved. The big table surrounded from sofas, allows the crew to have meals all together. In the Chart area and in the cockpit are installed the electronic instrumentation, the VHF, GPS with chart system, Eco issue sounder, automatic pilot and the wind station that will make the navigation safe and easy to manage. The Bavaria 49 provides a hi-fi music centre system with CD player, indoor and outdoor speakers and a lot of space on the deck to better enjoy the sun-tanning. There is also a large cockpit, covered by a sun-sail, with a fixed table and an ice-box; thanks to its spaciousness, this area also hosts the instrumentation and the double wheel-house. In addition a large and comfortable passage lead towards the stern where there are the outdoor hot-water shower and a ladder to enter into the sea. In this boat there is also a bow propeller that allows an easier handling of the boat while maneuvering.
