Gommone Nautilus 600 RIB Rental in Trapani, Sicilia

Renting a boat from Alessio was the highlight of our trip to the North West of Sicily - we went round the beautiful waters of the Egadi islands on a well maintained, comfortable RIB. With six people, bags and supplies on board we could comfortably enjoy a cruising speed of 10-12kts which was more than enough to see all the main beaches around Levanzo and Favignana. Staff were easy to reach and very helpful: when we had a small issue when our anchor got lodged in some rocks underwater, they immediately sent one of their staff on a boat to help. Highly recommended!

About Trapani, Sicily

Trapani is a gorgeous coastal city on the western side of Sicily in Italy. It’s a great place for a relaxing vacation, to go for a swim in the sea, and to escape the crowds of some of the bigger Sicilian destinations like Palermo and Catania. It has a rich history of being a fishing town, with evidence of these traditions still seen today. It’s a place to visit if you want to slow down and relax, spend time on a beach, or get a taste of Italian traditions without having to fight big tourist crowds.

The best time of year to visit Trapani is between April and June. The weather is warm but not scorching, and prices are much more affordable than other times of the year. July and August can be too hot and crowded, as this is the time that many Europeans take their summer holidays and flock to Italian coastal cities. The winter in Sicily is mild, with sunshine and small crowds, but it will be too cold to enjoy a swim in the sea.

To get to Trapani, you can fly to a nearby airport like Reggio, Catania, or Palermo, and rent a car to reach Trapani. There are also buses and trains that you can take to arrive in the town. The best way to explore this part of Italy is by a rental car so that you can see remote seaside villages.
