Boating is (without contest) the most popular lake activity during the summer months, and this expansive watery playground plays host to a myriad of boating activities such as sailboat regattas and even one of the country’s leading wooden boat shows — the Lake Tahoe Concours d’Elegance, which takes place every August. Boating culture reigns supreme for as long as the weather permits, and powerboats and jet skis dart across the water along with picturesque sailing vessels. For even more rental options be sure to look at all of Lake Tahoe for the most ideal location to start your boating adventure.
Boaters often partake in watersports as well, which range from the relaxing (such as kayaking to the exhilarating (such as parasailing, water skiing, and wakeboarding). Given the extreme depths of Lake Tahoe, scuba diving has also become a popular pastime, and can allow the adventurous to experience this beautiful lake in a unique way. Fishing and boating often go hand in hand, and Lake Tahoe has plenty of specimens to tempt any fisherman, from large and smallmouth bass and at least three different varieties of trout, to bluegill, sockeye salmon, and more.
Kimo was so generous with his time. He has a great knowledge of the area and was a fantastic tour guide! We enjoyed a lovely picnic in a place we never would have known about without having him as a guide. Its worth every penny to have an experienced captain so you can focus on enjoying your trip. He is Hawaiian through and through. There is no one you could possibly have on your trip with you better than Kimo who has the perfect balance of being entertaining but knowing when to step back and let you enjoy each other. He's absolutely the perfect host!!!
Jason was just superb to deal with from start to finish, excellent communication, really friendly, informative, organised & obliging, and went more than the extra mile to make sure our trip was the best it could be, and it certainly was! Very highly recommended indeed. Thanks Jason!
The boat/vessel was the "top of the line" ski boat that accommodates numerous people out on the lake. Even after we requested no captain, he still offered his services. He was a patient person and made every effort to pick up/ drop off me and my family to where numerous vehicles were able to park including our travel trailer and an RV. He came supplied with an ice chest for us to use. He assisting loading/ unloading, shares ins and outs of the vessel. The experience we had today on SLT will be one my family and I will forever remember... thank you... for everything!
Such a peaceful day on the lake! Jason was so cool and kind and accommodating. He took us to beautiful places and was super cool about the 2yr old on board. We all had a blast and would love to come when the weather is not so Smokey and we can tube!!!
What an amazing experience! Opted for the tour guide option on our rental. Jason was very friendly and hospitable. I was allowed to bring my Frenchie to enjoy the experience with us and he even brought a little bed for her to sit in! We even got a short history lesson on some of the cool history of the lake. Great price, fun time, and a very memorable experience. Will book again.
Jason was the most patient, attentive, informative, and engaged Captain or service person I have ever worked with. Ever. He made the day for my family and myself. Incredible, much more than I ever expected. My family has been through a lot and we just Ed need Jason’s gift today.
