Sardinia offers a variety of boats for rent, including:
Some of the best boating destinations in Sardinia include the Costa Smeralda, La Maddalena Archipelago, Cala Goloritze, and the Gulf of Orosei. These destinations offer stunning beaches, rugged cliffs, hidden coves, and turquoise waters.
It depends on the type of boat you want to rent. A valid boating license is required to rent a boat with an engine larger than 30 horsepower. If you don't have a license, you can still rent a smaller boat or hire a boat with a captain and crew.
The best time to go boating in Sardinia is during the summer months, from June to September. During this time, the weather is warm and sunny, and the sea is calm and inviting.
You should bring sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, a swimsuit, a towel, and a camera to capture the stunning views. You should also bring plenty of water and snacks, as well as a first aid kit and any necessary medications.
Yes, there are several boating regulations you should be aware of, including speed limits, no-wake zones, and anchoring restrictions. It's important to familiarize yourself with these regulations before setting out on your boating trip.
If you encounter bad weather while boating in Sardinia, it's important to prioritize safety. You should seek shelter in a protected cove or return to shore if necessary. Always monitor weather conditions and stay informed of any warnings or advisories.
We had a wonderful day trip with Alessio. The boat is beautiful, and the destinations were fantastic. He was a very good captain and made us feel very comfortable the whole time. We had a nice treat of wine, meat, and cheese. He made reservations for us at Tavolara. Even offered to pick us up by car. Could not have asked for a better experience. Thank you!
Hank was super kind and very friendly. We had a beautiful 6 hour trip, stopped for a swim at a nice cove and Hank also gave us some great tips about the area surrounding Cagliari. Highly recommend the 6 hours as it flew by quickly.
Renting a boat from Giuseppe made our trip. This is the absolute best way to explore the beaches of Sardinia. We loved it so much we rented for the entire day, and came back again the next day. We also upgraded from the RIB to a solid hull boat which we preferred. From the dock you can almost boat to Corsica, so there are literally dozens of beaches to explore. We have our favorites now but you will have to explore and find yours! This is a family run business and everyone was super nice. Instead of driving, dealing with parking, and finding your little spot in the sand you can rent a boat here and get to beaches that you can't drive to, and park in the coves with the yachts!
Carlo was simply the best! Great captain, an amazing host, engaging and professional. Most importantly Carlo is an amazing person. We had an perfect day with him, way beyond expectations. Beautiful beaches and views, a very nice boat and a great hosted lunch. We would highly suggest others to book with Carlo. We will for sure hire him again if we are so lucky to be back in Sardinia!
I was lucky enough to get in touch with Walter that took us on a whole day-trip to visit some marvellous spots within the La Madalena archipelago. The day become our highlight of the entire Sardinia vacation due to the wonderful atmosphere on the boat, the good food and superb company. I would warmly recommend Walter to guide your day in the archipelago!
Whoever plans to make a tour around la Maddalena and the other islands has to go with Walter and his boats. His hospitality is outstanding, his lunch was fantastic. We enjoyed the pasta so much. Don’t take any of these boats with dozens of people but hire Walter and his boats and the day will be a special memories in your vacation and even life. Every € is well spend
