Portimao is a gorgeous seaside town in the region of the Algarve in Portugal. It’s the perfect place for a summer vacation, a quiet retreat from the busier Portuguese cities of Porto and Lisbon. There are beautiful beaches, lots of cute restaurants and cafes, and plenty of opportunities for fun and enjoyment.
Portimao is a busy spot in the summer months when tourists flock to swim in the sparkling blue water of the Algarve, soaking up the sun and relaxing, enjoying delicious Portuguese cuisine. While Portugal as a whole is much cheaper than many other destinations in Europe, it will be more expensive to visit from June through August, during the peak summer. The shoulder months of May and September will be more affordable, and you’ll most likely still have great weather. The winters are mild but too cold to enjoy a day of sunbathing.
To get to Portimao, you can catch a flight to the international airport in Faro and rent a car to drive to Portimao, or take the bus to get to the town. It’s a small town, most of the sights are accessible by walking, but renting a car will give you some mobility to explore other towns. You can also get to the Algarve from other cities in Spain or Portugal by train or international bus.
My Crew did a fantastic job and we would thoroughly recommend them. The boat and itinerary were perfect and the crew could not have been more friendly and knowledgeable about the coastline. We even had some time watching dolphins. Our group of 8 really enjoyed this trip.
Great communication and value. Boat is very easy to operate and the views of the coast are unrivaled. Philip and Louise were lovely and walked us through everything. If we come back, we would definitely rent again! I highly recommend this to anyone considering renting a boat as it is far better to be on your own boat rather than stuck with a tour group, trust me!
This boat day was the highlight of my stay at Algarve. The vessel was perfect because it was small enough to into the caves and into shallow areas. The tour guide was informative and very friendly. I would do it all over again!
Really good guides, perfect explanations and made loads of conversation. We also loved the secret places they took us to, without anyone else being there. The boat was grate, and the paddle boards made everything even better.
This day on the boat was the highlight of our trip! Our skipper was very friendly and knowledgeable and showed us so many beautiful places. We would recommend to anyone who wants a VIP tour of the Algarve!
We had a fantastic tour with seasiren tours . We also had very skilled and enthusiastic skippers. It was a great experience . This private tour is definitely recommended and worth the money.
