The 50' mother ship MV Kum-Bah-Yah is completely self-sufficient and perfect for exploring all marine accessible locations on the BC coast. Captain Chad has had the good fortune of living and working on the British Columbia coastline since 1980, as Remote Work Site and Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) Patrol and Guardian contractors. His understanding and appreciation of the magnificent wildlife and stunningly rich and beautiful environment has been developed through their many years observing marine mammal behavior in the wild, or in participation with research scientists as DFO contractors. Chad was raised on the water and has operated boats on the BC coast since age 5. He spent six years skippering yachts from Alaska to the Caribbean before returning to BC to start the company in 1988. Since then he has provided safe and comfortable remote accommodation and transportation for work crews and researchers in the winter and tourists during the summer. This opportunity to explore every coastal mile of the southern BC coast has given Chad the unique ability to guide guests on truly unforgettable adventures.
