About This Boat

Enjoy wakebording in Fordingbridge, England!

Come down and see why we love wakeboarding! From beginner to advanced and kickers to sliders, you’ll be hooked here!

We offer wakeboarding or kneeboarding on our 2 cable systems; the Rixen 5 pylon main cable (see tab above), or the Sesitec system 2.0 straight line cable.

We strongly advise all beginners to start on the system 2.0 straight line cable, this involves a one to one session with an instructor. The cable can be controlled by the operator in terms or speed, starting and stopping and we recommend a 15 minute lesson to begin with.

The main cable is ideally for those experienced with wakeboarding. However kneeboarding is available to beginners on the main cable also.

We offer kids mornings, development courses, beginners courses and ladies mornings, perfect for those who have had their lesson/s on the straight line cable and are ready to experience the main cable. Please see our calendar for when these occur, otherwise book online now.

• System 2.0 Cable:

The Beginning!

This is where we advise beginners to start. A system 2.0 straight line cable is a 2 tower system, allowing riders to wakeboard 150 m under the constant control and instruction from one of our coaches. Suitable for beginners up to advanced riders. Please note: we have no features on the System 2.0.

Lessons take place with one of our instructors on a one to one basis. Therefore it is just you and your instructor. Once wakeboarding is perfected on the System 2.0, the main cable can be used for fast progression onto tricks, jumps and rails.

  • 15 minutes: £40 GBP
  • 1 hour: £145 GBP

• 5-corner-full-cable:

Arrive & Ride!

Constructed in 2013, our Rixen 5 corner Full Cable System is the newest cable system in the UK, and therefore offers you the very latest cable technology.

The main cable is for people who have been on a wakeboard before. Whether behind a boat, or on another cable system, the main cable can be accessible to all. We do recommend those who haven’t wakeboarded before to have at least one lesson on our straight line cable.

The cable can take up to 6 riders at one time, with 30 waiting in the queue ready to fill a space when someone falls off.

Frequently Asked Questions:

• Do I have to be able to swim?

Yes, you must be able to swim 50m with a buoyancy aid on, and be confident in the water. It is very likely for you to go under water.

• Do I need to remove all jewellery?

We do advise removing all jewellery before going wakeboarding.

• What equipment do I need?

It is compulsory to have a buoyancy aid or impact vest, a helmet and a wakeboard. A wetsuit is up to you. We have everything available to hire on site.

• How long are the session times?

Sessions on the main cable can be purchased in 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours or a day pass. Sessions on the system 2.0 straight cable are in 15 minute blocks, and can be booked in multiple slots.

• Can you waterski on the lake?

Yes you can, you can only use 2 skis, as it runs too slow for mono skiing. We do have limited skis available to hire.

• How experienced do you need to be to hit the features?

You have to be able to do a lap of switch, and an ‘ollie 180’. Providing our cable operators have seen you do the above, they will talk you through doing your first feature.

• How old do you need to be to wakeboard?

Aged 11 and over for the main cable. Aged 6 and over for the system 2.0 straight line cable. However we do run kids mornings on the main cable at various times throughout the season, these are for kids aged 8-16.

• Do I need to have wakeboarded before?

No, we offer lessons here on the system 2.0 straight line cable, these are on a one to one basis with an instructor, see the cable wakeboard page for more about the system 2.0.
If you haven’t wakeboarded before, and we don’t have any space for lessons, you can kneeboard on the main cable. This is literally a board which you kneel on and go round the lake.

• Can I have a lesson with an instructor?

Yes we offer lessons on our system 2.0 straight line cable, these are with an instructor on a one to one basis. We do offer lessons on the main cable, but these are very limited and subject to availability.

• What happens if you fall off?

  • Main cable – if you fall off, you will need to remove your board and swim to the nearest exit point, where you can climb out and walk back to the jetty, where you join the queue to go again.
  • System 2.0 – if you fall off, you simply wait in the water and the instructor will bring the handle back to you.

• It is compulsory to wear a helmet?

Yes it is compulsory to wear a helmet at all times.

• Can I wear my spectacles?

It is advised not to wear your spectacles on the cable, we also don’t recommend wearing goggles either.

• Can I bring my own food and drink?

No, we serve food and drink on site and don’t allow people to bring their own food and drink onto the premises. So please respect this.

• Can I dress up?

Unfortunately you cannot wear any loose clothing on the cable, therefore we do not allow any fancy dress of any sort on the cable

• What happens if it’s raining?

You still take part in the rain. Our theory is…you are going to get anyway!!… it is good fun in the rain. We have wetsuits available to hire for those wishing to hire on arrival.

• What happens if there is a storm?

If we have a storm over head then we will pause and resume once the storm has passed. Then your time will continue as normal. If you have lessons booked on the system 2.0, this does mean we may have to delay later sessions.

• How long prior to the session do I need to arrive?

For the main cable, you can just arrive and pay to ride. The system 2.0 straight line cable we advise arriving at least 30 minutes before the start time.
