It is powered by a smooth and reliable 4 stroke Mercury 50 hp. This by far no ski or water sport craft but will get you around Mountain Island Lake very well and comfortably. A Harris boat is one of the finer lines of pontoons. The seats are very comfortable and the boat and motor are very quite. It has a good radio with Blue Tooth to play your own music. Mountain Island Lake is a gorgeous lake. It looks a little small compared to Norman or Wylie but it takes about two hours at cruising speed to get from Dam to Dam. There is a huge sand bar where all the local hang out. There are plenty of private coves and great sandy beaches to swim from. If you need a bathroom break there is a dock at Latta Plantation with well kept bath houses. Most of the shoreline are parklands and nature preserves making the lake a great place to commune with nature. If you choose to come on a weekday you will have the lake almost to your self. This boat and this lake are all about relaxing. If that is what the doctor ordered, this defiantly the cure!
