Among them are, for example: bluefin tuna (Thunnus thynnus), white marlin (Kajikia albida), blue marlin (Makaira nigricans), wahoo (Acanthocybium solandri), bigeye tuna (Thunnus obesus), mahi mahi (Coryphaena hippurus), Greater amberjack (Seriolis dumerili) , swordfish (Xiphias gladias), spearfish (Istiophorus platypterus and I. albicans) and others. The fishing areas of our island with water depths of about 1500 meters are located in the immediate vicinity of the coast less than 20 minutes from the port of Tazacorte. This means that deep-sea fishing is possible “right in front of our door” and allows long and productive fishing days. For ocean fishing, long drives are not necessary here.
