Kayak Fishing Charter in Bryson City
*base rates $250 for fishing guide tours. We offer half day and full day guided kayak & paddle board fishing trips on the Tuckasegee River, Little Tennessee River, French Broad River, Cheoah Lake, Queens Lake, and Fontana Lake. Kayak fishing changes with each season, as does the species of fish we target. The main species we target are bass and trout, but secondary species such as walleye, white bass, and musky can all be targeted seasonally. Kayak fishing can be challenging and strenuous at times. Previous fishing experience and physical fitness is encouraged. Some of our most popular trips are: Kayak Fishing Fontana Lake & its Tributaries: Anglers can target smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, spotted bass, white bass, walleye, carp, wild rainbow trout, and the very rare musky, or wild brown trout. Target species will change with each season as water temperatures and water levels fluctuate. Our access points are conveniently placed to avoid long paddles. This is a flat water trip that is suitable for beginners and younger anglers. This trip is typically a live bait trip supplemented with some artificial tactics. We very rarely leave the kayaks to wade on these trips. Kayak Fishing the Little Tennessee River: This trip is predominately a bass trip, but anglers can target smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, crappie, perch, walleye, carp, catfish, and the very rare musky, wild brown trout or rainbow trout. The Little Tennessee River is known for its diversity, so you never know what you might hook into on this trip. We will often get out of the kayak to wade fish certain stretches of water on this trip. Expect to spend equal time in the kayak and in the water. This a great trip for experienced anglers looking to target river bass and other species on live baits and artificial lures.
