PRICE LIST - From April 20, 2022 to June 11, 2022: 850 € - From June 12, 2022 to September 18, 2022: 1050 € - From September 19, 2022 to November 30, 2022: 850 € Cruise Type: Private / Trip Duration: 6.30 hours (14:30 pm - 21:00 pm) TRIP OVERVIEW Try a unique sailing experience. Travel with us to Dia island in style, elegance and comfort. Join the sailing procedure if you feel like it, get eye-catching views of Heraklion from aboard, let the sea breeze fondle your skin. Upon arrival you can swim, fish, snorkel into the crystal-clear waters, explore the remnants of the ancient port or just relax aboard. Minoans, the ancient inhabitants of Crete, are known as the most skillful sailors of the ancient world. They were expertized, capable and owned such a powerful navy that the Minoan cities had no need to build any kind of fortification for protection. Minoan civilization is considered the only long-lasting peaceful civilization on earth. While a visit at Knossos reveals the significance of the uniquely intellectual, humanitarian yet so robust achievements of the Minoans, this cruise is an excellent opportunity to have a taste of these achievements from another perspective – underwater ! Dia island is located about 7 nautical miles north of Heraklion. According to the legend, Dia was created by Zeus. During the Minoan era the island was inhabited. The findings of Jacques Yves Cousteau in 1974, while searching for the lost Atlantis between Crete and Santorini, are of great archeological interest. Cousteau suggested that there stood one of the most important ports in the whole island of Crete. The harbour was sunk due to the destruction caused because of the eruption of Santorini volcano (1450 BC) . You may still see the ruins while snorkeling around the place. The only available facilities are the port, a forestry shelter and a tiny, charming Chapel named Analipsis. The island is a NATURA protected area. There are a lot of rare birds, wild rabbits and the endangered Cretan Ibex. TRIP TIMETABLE - 14:30 Departure from Heraklion port / 15:30 Arrival at Dia island The boat leaves Heraklion Venetian port, sailing north to Dia island. You can relax, get some suntan on the deck, or join the sailing procedure while getting eye – catching views of Heraklion from aboard and sensing the sea breeze on your skin. At Dia island you can enjoy swimming, fishing, snorkeling or just relax and continue sun tanning on deck. 17.00: Fruits served on board Enjoy seasonal fresh fruits and refreshments while relaxing onboard. 19.00: Dinner Time A delicious, fresh, tasty dinner (seafood pasta or meat or vegetarian menu + Greek Salad + Cretan wine) is served on deck accompanied with champagne, and a variety of soft drinks. You may capture the magic moments forever by taking photos or videos if you feel like it. As night falls, we cruise back to the old Venetian harbor under the brilliant starlit Cretan sky feeling relaxed, delighted and totally recreated. 21.00: Arrival back at Heraklion port The sailboat reaches the sensational Old Venetian Harbour of Heraklion, it's time to say goodbye. Hope you had an exceptional experience and wish to see you aboard soon. * Arrival back hours are subject to modification in order to adjust with the varying sunset time.
