Come Experience a Piece of Maritime History! Sail the English coast and the Isle of Wight on a day out or weekend. The Georgian market town of Lymington is set on the coast, in the beautiful New Forest National Park, between Southampton and Bournemouth. This port is situated with a well-protected marina right on the Solent, with great views of the New Forest Park and the Isle of Wight. Lymington is also a superb base for exploring the National Park before or after your trip. This opportunity to sail with our highly reviewed, and awarded for excellence chartered excursions are only $157 per person. The skipper offers a friendly, lavish experience with our crew members looking after you, so you and/or your company can enjoy this areas rich sailing history. One gets to feel what sailors have enjoyed for generations; just imagine the feeling, upon your charters return from this exhilarating moment, you get look upon the port filled with its working fishing vessels, walk the town’s narrow streets lined with pretty period cottages and houses, then finish the day sipping a pint in one of the many local pubs and restaurants. What to Expect from Your Expedition Lymington is easily accessible by road, rail and air. From Lymington, we are straight out onto the Western Solent. You will check in at and then we will set sail on the Solent, with a glass of bubbly in hand! After a few hours sailing, we anchor off the Isle of Wight to serve a freshly prepared two-course meal on board the yacht. After the meal there is more sailing before we return to Lymington. Price - $158 per person * Gratuity not included To have a private, exclusive yacht to yourselves, you need to book at least 8 places. Otherwise, if there are less than 8 guests, you will be on our very popular shared charter with up to 10 guests on board, which works really well! Sail Times From Lymington Yacht Haven, every day of the week May through September - 0900 for the Sail with Lunch - 1500 for the Sail with Dinner Check in for the Sail with Lunch trip at 0900 and sail at 0930 returning at 1500. You check in for the Sail with Dinner trip at 1500 and sail at 1530, returning at 2100. We serve a set menu, which includes a vegetarian option. In advance of your trip, we ask you to confirm any special dietary requirements, including details of any allergies at least 48 hours before your trip. What your expedition includes - professional skipper and crew six hour sailing tour - champagne on arrival and your two course meal (lunch or dinner) *Pre-ordered glass of wine with meal is extra - mooring fees and fuel - Non-alcoholic refreshments are included For larger groups, we can provide more than one yacht. The yachts sail together, anchor together for the meal, and then you can enjoy the friendly competition of a race back to Lymington afterwards! It is an exhilarating and unique outing, and the host can always swap to the other yacht at lunchtime, so they get to spend time with everyone. On private sails you can visit harbors and anchorages at Cowes, Yarmouth or Newtown on the Isle of Wight, or Beaulieu or Hamble on the mainland - and also sail past the Needles and anchor in Alum Bay. When we anchor for the meal, you can also enjoy a swim in the Solent! What to bring Less baggage you have the better Layers of light clothing such as shorts, tops, skirts, sun hats or caps, sandals, trainers or sneakers or soft soled athletic shoes, swimwear and warmer clothing for the evenings Personal identification, as well as medication or personal items should be stored in a soft carrier that can fit easily into something the size of a cabin locker. Softer luggage is ideal for fitting into cabin lockers. Remember, be practical, you are sailing on a yacht. Stay overnight on board the yacht Overnight accommodation may be available on board the yacht at Lymington before or after your trip. The price is only $50 per person if bring your own bedding and towels, and $62 per person with bedding and towels provided by us. The next morning, you can enjoy stroll into the marina and have a good breakfast at the Haven Restaurant (*not included in overnight price). You will need to be off the yacht by 0830 the next morning so it can be prepared for that day’s sailing. There are first class facilities in the marina building nearby, which most guests make use of, including rain showers and hairdryers! Additional Terms & Information
Is there a minimum/maximum age limit? All age group welcome, but children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult who is responsible for that child at all times. On your booking you should note the age of anyone under 18 so we can provide appropriate lifejackets for small children. Refund Policy For our day trips, we can try to resell your places, in which case there will only be the administration fee of $32 per person for you to reschedule to another date. If we cannot resell your places, then the cancellation charge is the full value of your trip – but, hopefully, that will not be the case. Cancellations for our private charters, less than 8 weeks before your trip, will be subject to a cancellation fee, in accordance with the terms and conditions which will be sent to you when your booking is confirmed.
