Bring a 'yak to a local lake, try your luck "drowning a worm", work in a vigorous paddle for your evening "cardio" or just enjoy the glassy stillness as you glide effortlessly through the water to your favorite berry patch or "chill out" spot. Throw in with your pals and spend a few days camping on a beach in Steamboat Slough, or bring one along next time you're fishing on the Kisaralik or Kwethluk rivers. And, no matter which, you'll spend your cutwater exploit fishing, viewing wildlife, camping, hiking, cooking and best of all kayaking through winding, untainted Alaska backwater. And, this time of the year the odds are favorable you'll latch on to a spirited wild salmon heading for it's spawning ground.
