Spend a few days exploring Lake Clark aboard Odyssey, a comfortable 50-foot sailing catamaran with room for just six guests. Sail beneath the mountains, visit waterfalls, explore by dinghy, and head ashore for a hike or an evening around a beach fire. Your captain and crew take care of the boat and meals while you enjoy being here. YOUR PRIVATE CHARTER This listing is for the whole boat for your family or friends, with captain and crew included. Odyssey has three guest cabins, each with a queen bed and its own bathroom and shower. Guests have four bathrooms in total: three en-suite cabin bathrooms plus the day head. The separate crew cabin and bathroom are private. No sailing experience is needed. Our 2009 Voyage 500 is 50 feet long and 27 feet wide, with heating for Alaska's cooler days. Relax in the comfortable indoor salon, the covered cockpit, or the spacious front deck and trampolines. There is room to gather for meals and time together, or find a quiet spot of your own. EXPLORE LAKE CLARK Enjoy sailing between anchorages, dinghy outings, waterfalls, beach walks, fishing, and hikes. Kayaks and paddleboards are aboard for exploring nearby waters when conditions are suitable. Our route and pace depend on the weather, wind, and what your group enjoys; we do not promise a different anchorage every night. Little Lake Clark is our favorite place to take guests. Odyssey stays outside, and we explore its cliffs and waterfalls by dinghy. This is a dinghy outing, not a kayak or paddleboard trip. We try to bring every overnight group here when time and conditions allow. Wildlife sightings are always a possibility, never a guarantee. WHAT'S INCLUDED Your stay includes accommodations aboard Odyssey, captain and crew, meals, snacks, non-alcoholic drinks, and use of the onboard kayaks, paddleboards, and fishing gear. Flights to and from Port Alsworth, alcohol, and all third-party activities and excursions, including floatplane adventures, are not included and cost extra. You are welcome to bring your own alcoholic beverages and drink responsibly. ARRIVAL AND BOARDING Fly from Anchorage to Port Alsworth. Lake Clark Air and Lake and Peninsula Airlines serve the village from Merrill Field, a separate airport from Anchorage's main airport. Share your flight details with us through Getmyboat so we can meet your airplane and help with luggage. We introduce you to the crew at the beach, then show you around Port Alsworth and the NPS visitor center. Most guests enjoy the optional Tanalian Falls hike before boarding that afternoon. We generally plan to board after noon once Odyssey is ready, and can shorten the activities for guests who prefer earlier boarding. TRIP LENGTHS AND SEASON Choose three nights / four days or six nights / seven days, with custom and longer stays available by arrangement. The minimum stay is three nights, and a lower nightly rate applies from six nights. Our season runs from the last week of June through the last week of September. Overnight trips can be reserved year-round for dates within the sailing season. Use Request a Quote to share your preferred dates, group size, and interests. The listing's rates are for the private charter for up to six guests; any Getmyboat renter fees are shown separately during booking. ABOARD ODYSSEY Only the crew may operate Odyssey or the dinghy. The crew cabin and engine rooms are private, and guests must stay off the solar-covered cockpit roof. Life jackets are required for everyone in the dinghy and for guests age 13 and under when outside on the boat. Follow the crew's guidance throughout your stay.
