What You Can Expect:

Jetski Ride To Catalina Island

Ride to Catalina Island on one of our Jetski's, escorted by our experienced guides. It will be a journey that you will never forget. We provide everything you will need for the day. (Jetski, Wetsuit, Safety Equipment, Fuel, Snorkeling Gear, and Guides)

Our Adventure departs Long Beach at 9:00 am and runs across the Pacific 27 miles to the beautiful island of Santa Catalina. Nicknamed by some, "The Ocean Safari", as we enjoy the company of dolphins, whales and sea lions. Our destination, the remote beaches on the west side of Catalina that few people ever get to see. Our adventure also includes snorkeling in some of the best spots that California has to offer.

Upon arrival, you will see all the beauty that makes Catalina such a jewel in the Pacific. We spend a few hours on the island, during which you can snorkel with tropical fish, hike the scenic trails of Catalina's backcountry, eat lunch or simply lay on the deserted beach and take it all in.

Our Jet Ski is a 4 stroke technology from Seadoo and Yamaha.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to get to Catalina Island?

This usually depends upon conditions, how much time we spend playing with the dolphins and how much time we spend just hanging out on the water.  It is approximately a 1.5 hr ride from the time we leave Long Beach to the time we arrive at the island.

Can 2 people ride on 1 jetski?

The ski’s we use are 3 seaters and can handle 2 riders in the ocean. For comfort, we highly recommend one rider per ski. For Families with children, passengers can ride as long as they are over 10 years old. The total weight capacity for 2 riders is 400lbs

What is the age requirement for this trip?

To pilot a jet ski on your own, you must be 16 yrs old.  Passengers may ride behind an adult if they are over 10 years old.

How intense is the trip?

Surprisingly, most people find this trip not only adventurous but also relaxing.  At times, the ocean conditions can get rough, and one MUST have a sense of adventure and confidence when riding.  If you do not have an outgoing sense of adventure in you, do NOT book this trip.  You may want to consider one of our local coastline adventures instead.

What type of watercraft do we ride?

Our fleet of watercraft is four stroke Seadoo or Yamaha 3 seaters.  They are very stable, quiet and provide a wonderful ride in the ocean environment. As an added bonus, they are low emission eco-friendly vessels.

What is provided for us on the trip?

We provide all the equipment you will need: Jetski, Fuel, Wetsuit, Safety equipment, bottles of water, snorkeling gear, and guides.  You simply show up and let us do all the work.

What should I bring along on the trip?

We recommend you bring sunscreen, water shoes or sandals for walking on the island, waterproof camera, extra t-shirt in a ziplock bag, towel, money for lunch and gift shop.  It is also recommended you bring along a snack (granola bar, fruit snacks, etc) as most guests like to relax on their ski when we stop to rest and have a bite to eat.

What if the weather is bad?  Do we still go?

We monitor NOAA weather up until the moment we leave and continue to do so while on the ride.  If your guide is not comfortable with any weather condition, he may cancel or delay the trip, until it is safe for the journey.

Where do we eat?

Once we arrive on Catalina Island, there are a few different spots to eat.  You may decide to eat at the new Harbor Sands restaurant on the water, sit at the outdoor bar, or take in a quick burger at Harbor Reef cafeteria.  The little market also has lots of snacks, drinks, and souvenirs.

I would like to snorkel.  Do you provide the equipment?

Each of our skis is equipped with a mask and snorkel.  We do not provide fins.  If you would like to bring fins, please make sure they are the short style as the full-size fin will not fit in the storage compartments. If you would like to bring along your own snorkeling equipment, that is fine as well.
