    We specialize in charter and multi-day naturalist led cruises and Grizzly Bear Viewing tours with lodge stays, at our own Homfray Lodge, in Desolation Sound, Gulf Islands and Salish Sea all on the British Columbia Coast. Our main embarkation points are Lund, or Powell River and Vancouver, British Columbia.  You can fly to Powell River from Vancouver, in 30 minutes, and we will meet you there to transfer you to the boat.  Rates: (rates are in CAD currency) We also offer multi-day naturalist led cruises: • Desolation Sound Wilderness Discovery Cruise - 5 days / 4 nights. Departs Lund or Powell River, BC  on Mondays from June to August  • Homfray Explorer - 4 days / 3 nights. Departs Lund or Powell River, BC on Fridays from June to August • Grizzly Bears of Toba Inlet - 3 day / 2 night, 4 days / 3 nights and 5 days /4 nights, Departs Lund or Powell River, BC August to October  • Salish Sea & Gulf Islands Cruise - 5 day / 4, Departs Cowichan Bay on Vancouver Island, BC on Mondays from May to June What You Can Expect: We are redefining a journey of discovery along British Columbia’s breathtaking coastal waterways. In this immersive, all-inclusive experience, your daylight hours are aboard the intimate Coastal Cruises’ Pacific Bear, while overnights are spent at comfortable, curated eco-lodges in the heart of unspoiled wilderness and beauty of coastal BC. Depending on the departure you choose, accommodation is in lodges such as our own Homfray Lodge, a wilderness lodge resort located in Desolation Sound, and only accessible by water.  The services on board and onshore are all-inclusive; wholesome breakfasts, lunches, and dinners along with house beverages Luggage is transferred directly to the lodges. The “Little Blue Boat” was initially constructed as a West Coast Seiner Fishing Boat. Purposely re-built for coastal cruising and upgraded, the boat rapidly engulfs you with its rugged charms. Large windows for sightseeing, single seating family style dining, full gallery, open pilot house with a spacious open and covered upper deck - exclusive small ship cruising - only 16 guests What To Expect On board: The Pacific Bear, our “Little Blue Boat” Christened the Lasqueti Star, in honour of the shipyards of British Columbia where she was built by Lasqueti Fishing Co in 1974., the "Little Blue Boat" was originally a fishing vessel working the province’s rugged coast. Totally rebuilt and refurbished, this former "Seiner" is now a comfortable, extremely sea-worthy passenger cruiser, plying the calm, coastal waterways she knows so well. In her present life, the “Pacific Bear,” since 2015, fondly nicked named our "Little Blue Boat" gives her guests access to British Columbia’s breath-taking secret coast. A fully equipped galley, single-seat dining, hospitality bar and ample open and enclosed deck viewing, ensure guests enjoy every comfort while benefiting from unprecedented proximity to BC’s hidden gems.     Additional Terms & Information

    50% non-refundable deposit required at time of booking. Balance due 30 days prior to arrival, after which it is non-refundable.   All rates are per person based on Double Occupancy. Each tour includes overnights in a lodge or resort, in a private room. Rates are plus 5% GST, Service fees and Conservation fees may also be added.
