Enjoy the waters of Newport Harbor on our Private Cruise aboard the classic sailing yacht, Lively Schooner for up to 6 passengers (See our other vessel for overnight adventures). 3 Hour Harbor Cruise: $300 Glide down the channel enjoying the sights, marine life and serenity of sailing with Lively and her captain acting as your private guides to the beautiful waters of Newport! You can sit back and enjoy the sights of the harbor or learn how to handle Lively's sails and tiller. What To Expect Onboard: Feel the wind in your hair as you glide down the channel, take in the sights of celebrity homes, historic landmarks and fascinating marine life. Our Vessel is a 1976 Willard Marine custom schooner. She was designed by Hale Field and constructed at Willard Boat Works in Costa Mesa. She has spent most of her life in Newport Harbor, occasionally venturing up or down the coast to cruise or participate in the America's Schooner Cup which she won in 2016. She is a dream to sail and flies up to four sails at a time: a Marconi-rigged mainsail, a gaff-rigged foresail, a jib on a self-tending boom, and a fisherman staysail. Her auxiliary propulsion is a 30 horsepower Yanmar inboard engine. Down below she has a dinette table that seats four comfortably, a small galley (kitchen) with an icebox, and a head (restroom). Super easy and fun trip around the harbor and out on to the water a little bit! Captain Andrew is crazy knowledgeable not only about sailing/boating but also Newport it self. Highly recommend if you want to learn something new with great views.

We went out for a 5 hr sail on 4th of July weekend and captain Andrew was the best! The vintage vessel (her name is Lively) was the prettiest in the harbor, and once we were out of the harbor the captain taught us a bit about how to sail her too! We were able to bring food and drinks on board and arrived back in harbor on time. We'll definitely be doing this again

Andrew was great. His boat is beautiful, and definitely a real life, down-to-earth (or sea?) sailing experience. He is very knowledgeable about the harbor and about sailing, and can find the balance between sharing his knowledge and letting the group have their own experience. Highly recommend.

Captain Andrew chartered a wonderful sailing trip in and around Newport Beach Harbor. His 1976 Schooner is a beautiful boat. He is very knowledgeable about the harbor and other boats. We enjoyed our time on his boat talking with Andrew and soaking in the beautiful scenery. We definitely plan to book again. Good value, well worth it for the experience.

LOVE our birthday sail with Captain Andrew. There are supposed to be 6 of us plus a baby, but two of our party couldn't make it. Alas, 4 people plus a baby worked out VERY well. The boys loved their sailing lessons and would love to come back to sail some more very soon. Thank you Capt. Andrew with your passion, patience, knowledge and wonderful stories. We all appreciate it.
