Enjoy the waters of Newport Harbor on a storybook Pirate Ship! Book the 52ft Angleman Mayflower Ketch for up to 6 people for day trips, or 4 people for overnights. The only wooden pirate ship available to charter in Newport Harbor, with a salty crew, well experienced in traditional sailing aboard this small tall ship! *The U.S. Coast Guard mandates face coverings for all passengers and crew*   Regular sailing charters: 3-7 hours: $150/hour 8 hour day: $1100 9+ hour day: $130/hour Catalina Overnight Package: starting at $1500 (summer rate) Catalina Multi-Night Package: starting at $2000 (summer rate) ~*~ Ask about converting your sail into a Pirate Adventure! ~*~   What To Expect Onboard: Board the long boat, Pilgrim at the dock and venture out to the Lido Channel where Mayflower is moored. Mayflower is a 1960 Square-Topsail Ketch designed by Hugh Angleman and built by the American Marine shipyard almost entirely out of teak, in a design that harkens back to the 1700s.  She flies up to seven sails at a time inducing the gaff main and mizzen, stay sail, jib, flying jib, square topsail, and course. Any salty old mariner will surely have a smile on their face as they take the helm either on her aft deck or inside the pilot house if the weather is not very warm. On deck there is plenty of room for lounging and taking in the beautiful coastal views! Below decks she is appointed with a Great Cabin at the stern, with two single bunks that are convertible to doubles, and can be divided into two more private sleeping areas with a bulkhead in between. Forward of the midships pilot house is the main cabin, which houses the galley and dinette as well as two additional single bunks. Mayflower is the perfect vessel for adventuring over to Catalina Island for the weekend, or more adventurous jaunts circumnavigating Catalina or voyaging to the Channel Islands and beyond!

Captain knows how to take care of everyone and the experience is phenomenal. I’ve sailed with him twice now and both times were perfect. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I sail with him every month and so should you. Until next time.

We had a really fun trip through the harbor and down the coast for my husband’s Birthday. Captain Andrew was able to find the sweet spot between sharing interesting information and allowing us to enjoy the natural scenery. The kids loved how all the other boats wanted to sail up to ours to yell “Argghhhh!l” and “Ahoy!!!”

The trip was very interesting, particularly for my 5 year old as he wanted a pirate ship experience on his birthday. The captain and crew were very professional and made sure we were comfortable. Our needs were take care off. We had a great great time. I would suggest to stay in and around the bay and less of deep waters, as it gets a bit bumpy in deep waters. We enjoyed every bit of the trip. We will surely want to do it again😀.
