Frequently Asked Questions Will There Be A Coast Guard Licensed Captain, Provided? Pricing above is for groups 6 and under, and we WILL provide you with a U.S. Coast Guard licensed Captain. Our licensed Captains in our preferred network know the boat, are trained in first aid and CPR, as well as meet all coast guard required training and expertise requirements. From the minute you arrive to the minute you say your goodbyes, your Captain will become your new best friend as he guides you through the day. The Captain will inform you of the safety features aboard ORO, as well as help you plan and safely navigate through your on-the-water experience. For groups larger than 6 (max of 12 guests), there is an additional $100/pp fee to be paid in addition to the $2800 day rate. Also, you have the option of providing your own USCG licensed Captain, or choose one from our network. You will need to provide us with boaters insurance for the day as well if you choose to bring your own licensed Captain. Drug & Alcohol abuse: We have a no tolerance policy for use of illicit drugs aboard. If the Captain sees or suspects the use of illicit drugs, he will terminate the charter immediately and return to the marina to discharge the guests. Your deposit & payment will be FORFEITED in such case. The Captain will also reserve the right to cut intoxicated individuals off as needed. Your safety is our number one concern and we will do whatever is necessary to make sure everyone gets back to the dock safe and sound. What Should We Bring For Our Day Aboard ORO? When planning a day on the water, there are a few essential things you will need to bring. We always recommend protection from the sun. Hats and breathable Rash Guards are the easiest way to prevent burns. If you didn’t bring any, we got you covered, ask your Captain about our Hats, Shirts, Towels for sale with the boats logos on them. Or, Sunscreen is a good alternative to have while boating. We ask that you have plenty of it, but NO SPRAY SUNSCREEN!!! For some reason it stains the decks and equipment. Oro is outfitted with all new snorkel gear & flotation devices if you need them. But feel free to bring your own. You may want to bring a towel and any other personal items you may need throughout the day.
