Age & Experience - Renter must be 25 years or older with prior boating experience. - A valid driver’s license is required. - Operator must attend a safety briefing before departure. Capacity - Maximum 8 guests (no exceptions; includes children) for comfort and safety. Safety Requirements - All passengers must follow USCG safety rules. - Life jackets provided; required for anyone 12 years or younger at all times. - Operator must remain sober and free of impairing substances. - Speed limits: - - Lake Union: 7 knots - Lake Washington: Slow zones near bridges, shore, and shallow areas (watch for buoys). - Enforcement: Coast Guard and local law patrol these waters—tickets may be issued for violations. Security Deposit - $500 hold through GetMyBoat for damages, excessive cleaning, or late returns. Fuel Policy - Boat starts with a full tank. - Fuel is included in the price - Owner handles refueling—no fuel dock visits required. Launch & Return - On-time return required to avoid late fees ($200/hour). - Extensions possible if no bookings after yours (standard hourly rate applies). Weather Policy - Unsafe weather (high winds, storms, heavy rain) → reschedule or full refund. - Light rain does not qualify for cancellation. Cancellations & No-Shows - Follows GetMyBoat’s standard cancellation terms unless agreed otherwise. - No-shows charged full booking amount. Prohibited Activities - No smoking or vaping. - No beaching boat or operating in water <3 ft deep. - No nighttime operation (must return before sunset). - No Pets - Do not stand on seats with shoes. Add-On Equipment - Floating Water Mat – $50/rental (must be rolled up & secured after use) Cleaning - Remove trash and personal items before returning. - Excessive cleaning = $100 cleaning fee.
