13 Person SouthBay 150 HP Tritoon for Rent on Gun Lake
The boat is only available on Gun Lake. There may be up to a 24 hour review process for any rental inquiries, but we likely will have an answer for you within a few hours. This is a 2019 SouthBay 523CR-4G 24 ft in length plus the engine and has a 150 HP Evinrude Etec G2 HO Outboard Engine. Note: There are other places that advertise the same or lower prices but unless they specifically say their HP and almost all of them are only 2 tube "pontoons" instead of being an actual full "TriToon". If you want to see the color, features and power of this motor and just how good it is compared to any other motor, just go to YouTube and type in "Evinrude E-TEC G2 Plane Truth Challenge". This video has had over 400,000 viewings and as long as they feature the BLUE 150 HP Evinrude Etec, that is exactly what this motor looks like and does. Includes blue LED under-lighting around the base of the seating and below the deck of the boat shining on the water, the envy of the lake after sunset for sure! Additional Terms & Information
For all rentals, the owner will go over the lake rules and boat use rules, waiver, rental agreement and instructions before departure. The owner then will give a tour of the lake and what areas to avoid and also go over the basics of the boat operation specific to driving the boat on the water. This should take no more than 30 minutes unless longer is necessary based on knowledge of the lake, operator experience, etc. Note: This post departure owner given training session is part of the rental time, but we learn on the lake, so you will not missing out on anything as it will be fun for you and your guests. The goal of course to make great memories and also to make sure the boat and everyone is safe the entire time the boat is in use. Price for the 4 hour rental and below includes the cost of gas, so those rental prices may seem slightly above the competition even though their boats are much slower, but they don't offer to have the fuel included (for 4 hour rental or less). On Gun Lake the gas has to be carted to the boat as there is not a station directly on the lake, and there is often a line of boats waiting, so if renting for just a few hours, you would spend a good percentage of that time waiting in line for a portable fuel tank and filling up at your own cost. If renting the boat for more than one day, refilling will be the responsibility of the renter at own cost but that is reflected in the lower price per day. There is a large gas tank on the boat (37 gallons) so likely needs only be filled every 6-8 hours of use. Rent Rates Breakdown: 2-8 Hours: $125 per hour with 2 hour minimum -- includes 30 minute owner training session on the water -- captain service at no extra charge for the entire trip if desired -- refueling the responsibility of boat owner -- no risk of damages being charged to renter 4 Hours: $400 -- includes 30 minute owner training session on the water -- refueling the responsibility of owner 8 Hours: $500 -- includes 30 minute owner training session on the water -- refueling the responsibility of renter 3 Days: $1000 -- includes 30 minute owner training session on the water -- refueling the responsibility of renter 4 Days: $1,125 -- includes 30 minute owner training session on the water -- refueling the responsibility of renter 5 Days: $1,250 -- includes 30 minute owner training session on the water -- refueling the responsibility of renter 6 Days: $1,375 -- includes 30 minute owner training session on the water -- refueling the responsibility of renter 7 Days: $1,500 -- includes 30 minute owner training session on the water -- refueling the responsibility of renter The deposit is $1,500 just to ensure no damage is done. Renter assumes all responsibility for any other damage done to the boat or property or people. The charge to have the owner be the captain the entire time you rent the boat, if desired, is $25 per hour after the initial 30 minute training session in addition to the normal fees charged for the rental. Going this route you avoid risking the deposit at all as clearly the owner is responsible for any operator error so if you are not already quite familiar with boating and all, this is a good route to go. Obviously this option is only a viable for a 4 hour period or shorter as the captain has a life outside of this boat :-) Damage to the boat or propeller is the responsibility of the renter unless of course the owner is driving when damage occurs, so learn the lake by looking at the maps, pay attention when out on the water, avoid the shallow areas, pay attention during the lake tour and you should be fine. Operators must be at least 25 years old, have a valid drivers license, proof of insurance and have signed a waiver, rules sheet, rental agreement and have watched the safety videos prior to use. Absolutely no drinking of alcohol on the boat at any time it is away from the dock. We realize some people think of these as "party barges" and they are a blast for groups, but this is a powerful and heavy vehicle and people can be anywhere at any time on the lake, swimming or in kayaks, skiing, etc, so definitely not a time for drinking and driving. Driving while intoxicated or you can risk serious damage to the boat, not to mention people and property. If you have any other questions feel free to contact us anytime!
