Enjoy Panfish and Musky fishing on Chemong Lake aboard our 17ft “Stratos” Center Console Boat for up to 4 people. Rates as low as $75 per hour (2-hour minimum). Rates: Family Panfish Sampler (April – November) • Approximately 2+ hours (max 4 people): $149* total • 4 Hour Panfishing (max 4 people): $295* total • 6 Hour Panfishing (with a short break in between, if required, max. 4 people) – $449* total Musky Fishing (June – November) • 4 Hour (max 2 people): $295* total • 6 Hour (with a short break in between, if required, max. 2 people): $449* total Children’s Special (Tuesday to Thursday) • 2 Hour (One adult and one or two children under 12): $99 *Rates may be subject to a fuel surcharge and dates are subject to weather conditions. What You Can Expect: If you’re a couple, or a family and are looking for a few hours of fishing where the odds are highly in your favour of catching fish, you have come to the right place. If you’re a tournament fisherman, this probably isn’t the charter for you. 4 and 6 hour Musky charters are limited to 2 people only (no exceptions) where we aggressively troll with heavy duty equipment and lures. 2, 4 and 6 hour Panfish charters are limited to 4 people (no exceptions) where we drift and still fish with various baits and, it’s very common to catch many Big Pickerel and Bass while panfishing. Charter Day Just a reminder; “on shore washroom facilities” are never more than a few minutes away. You need to bring your fishing license to fish, I’m not allowed to sell them. Note: Children under 18 are deemed to have a Conservation License. Seniors (65+) are deemed to have a Sportsman license. You may catch musky with a conservation license, but you may not keep them. Licenses are available online or at the Home Hardware in town. If you regularly boat fish, the following is probably old news. If it feels warm on land and you get out to the middle of the lake, the clouds come out and the wind picks up – it will feel “MUCH” colder; vice versa, if it feels cold on land and the wind dies down and the sun comes out – it will feel a “LOT” warmer. Tip: Light coloured clothes in hot weather; Dark coloured clothes in cold weather. It would be wise to pack appropriate clothing and even clothing that may not seem appropriate. (Polarized) sunglasses, sun block and a broad brimmed shade cap are a good idea even on a cloudy day. And it’s only up to a 6 hour fish but refreshments (alcohol is strictly prohibited and illegal in my boat) and a snack might be in order, facilities are available but it’s your dime and time. Please make sure your camera is ready to take photos prior to catching the fish instead of when we’re landing the fish. If there is a small craft weather warning, we won’t be going fishing and this issue may come up just before fishing. If it’s just drizzling, I will be expecting you. I supply all the equipment & tackle, you’re quite welcome to bring your own, but if you drop mine in the drink – you’ve bought it. There’s “No Guarantee” you will catch a specific fish species, especially Musky. Some people go their whole life without catching one, but I will do my best to get one on your line. If we’re fishing for panfish, you may get lucky and get a big Bass or Pickerel on the line. Only “legal” fish (if applicable) will be kept as I can be charged also. If you’re keeping fish, bring an empty cooler in your car (I don’t clean or prepare fish). Safety First: We are fishing with razor sharp hooks, please ensure you are in control of your (and your child’s) equipment. Liability limited (where applicable) to refund only. What To Expect Onboard: Fully outfitted 17-foot “Stratos” deep water Sports Fisherman complete with Quantum rods, live well, Garmin GPS, Humminbird fish finder, VHF marine radio and Bimini top for shade. Finally, if you pick a date during the week, rather than the weekend (heavy boat traffic), fishing may be better.

My grandfather took me fishing when I was a child, where we would row up (before the pleasure boat craze) the Holland River and fish for giant pike with big wooden plugs. Both my parents and my wife’s parents had cottages on the Kawartha Lakes, where fishing was my passion. When I lived in Durham region you would find me steelheading on one of the many streams. I operated a Salmon Charter out of Port Darlington Marina for several years with a 31’ Trojan Curser. I semi-retired to Chemong Lake 15 years ago where I have honed my fishing skills (especially Musky). Chemong Lake is the hidden gem of the Trent System, it is off the main channel. Therefore, I feel (shared by others) it is severely under fished, especially for Musky’s. I find there is no best or worst “time” for fishing. Your chances increase however on the onset of a low-pressure front rather than a high-pressure front. Also, the proper equipment, technique and the right area helps.
