2017 Sea-Doo Wake 155 Rental Terms & Operator Responsibilities Thank you for choosing our 2017 Sea-Doo Wake 155. We take pride in providing clean, safe, and professionally maintained equipment. In return, we expect every renter to operate and care for the watercraft responsibly. By accepting possession of this Sea-Doo, the renter acknowledges that the watercraft has been inspected and received in good operating condition and agrees to return it in the same condition, excluding normal wear and tear. Renter Responsibility The renter assumes full responsibility for the safe operation, care, security, and return of the Sea-Doo throughout the rental period. The renter is responsible for any damage, loss, misuse, negligence, or operating errors that occur while the watercraft is under their control. The renter agrees to immediately report any accident, collision, grounding, mechanical issue, warning light, impact, or damage that occurs during the rental period. Zero Tolerance for Damage Damage is not considered a normal part of operation. Any damage occurring during the rental period may result in charges for repairs, replacement parts, labor, towing, recovery costs, administrative expenses, loss-of-use fees, diminished value, and claims against the security deposit. Examples include, but are not limited to: - Gelcoat scratches, gouges, chips, cracks, or impact damage - Collisions with docks, pilings, seawalls, shorelines, boats, buoys, or other objects - Underwater-object strikes involving rocks, logs, stumps, debris, or submerged hazards - Hull damage of any kind - Impeller damage - Wear ring damage - Intake grate damage - Jet pump damage - Steering, reverse, trim, throttle, or control system damage - Engine damage resulting from misuse, overheating, debris ingestion, improper operation, or failure to follow instructions - Trailer damage caused during loading, unloading, launching, or retrieval The renter remains financially responsible for all damages regardless of whether repair costs exceed the security deposit amount. Shallow Water Operation Policy To protect the jet pump system, the Sea-Doo shall not be operated in water less than three (3) feet deep. The renter agrees to avoid shallow-water operation at all times and understands that applying throttle in shallow water can cause rocks, sand, shells, weeds, fishing line, ropes, and other debris to be drawn into the jet pump. The renter shall not apply throttle while beaching, launching, loading, unloading, or operating in shallow water. Any damage to the impeller, wear ring, intake grate, jet pump, driveshaft, cooling system, or related components resulting from shallow-water operation, debris ingestion, grounding, or improper operation shall be the sole responsibility of the renter. No Alcohol or Drug Use Operation of this personal watercraft while under the influence of alcohol, marijuana, illegal substances, or any medication that impairs judgment, reaction time, or physical ability is strictly prohibited. Any violation will result in immediate termination of the rental without refund and may result in forfeiture of the security deposit, additional charges, and reporting to appropriate authorities when required by law. Safe Operation Requirements The renter agrees to: - Follow all Washington State boating laws and regulations - Maintain safe distances from swimmers, docks, shorelines, and other vessels - Operate only in approved waterways - Avoid shallow-water operation - Follow all safety instructions provided during the orientation - Wear all required safety equipment - Operate the Sea-Doo in a safe, courteous, and responsible manner at all times The Sea-Doo shall not be intentionally beached, grounded, raced, jumped, towed, abused, operated recklessly, or used in any manner inconsistent with manufacturer recommendations or applicable laws. Equipment Responsibility The renter is responsible for all equipment provided during the rental period, including but not limited to life jackets, safety equipment, keys, lanyards, dock lines, anchors, and accessories. Lost, stolen, or damaged equipment will be charged at replacement cost. Citations, Violations, and Fines The renter is solely responsible for any citations, fines, penalties, towing charges, impound fees, or law-enforcement actions resulting from their operation of the watercraft during the rental period. Late Returns Late returns may result in additional rental charges. Failure to return the watercraft at the agreed-upon time without prior approval may be considered unauthorized possession and may result in additional fees. Security Deposit A $2,000 security deposit is required through GetMyBoat. The security deposit is not a limit of liability. If damages, losses, recovery expenses, towing costs, legal expenses, or loss-of-use claims exceed the deposit amount, the renter remains fully responsible for all additional costs incurred.
