Welcome aboard! I'm a Charleston native whose Irish and Scottish family has been building ships and navigating these waters since the 1800s. I captain this authentic 26' Duffy Lobsterman Launch, a classic Maine lobster boat with a deep dark blue hull and canvas top for sun protection. From my private slip at Ashley Marina, we'll cruise past the historic downtown battery and discuss Charleston Harbor's rich history—the church steeples, four Civil War forts, and barrier islands that make this waterfront so special. This is the most romantic harbor on the East Coast, with dolphins, sea turtles, and diverse marine life regularly spotted in these waters. The boat comfortably accommodates up to 24 guests for day cruises, sunset trips, and evening outings. Since I fish locally, I can offer fresh local oysters, black seabass dip, and smoked Spanish mackerel. I'm somewhat of a chef and captain, so let me know if you'd like seafood added to the experience. What to expect: - Captain and host for the full duration - Cooler, pillows, blankets, sun protection, and towels provided - Cruise past the historic downtown battery and Charleston church steple - Views of four Civil War forts and numerous barrier islands and beaches - Local seafood available upon request - Day and evening cruises available If your group is more than 12 guests, an additional crewmate will be required at a rate of $50 per hour.
