Canadian Canoe: A leisurely vessel which takes two or three adult passengers. A single paddle is used to propel the boat, with the majority of the steering undertaken from the rear position. Our canoes are made by Old Town, a very reputable company. The style of canoe we use (Discovery & Appalachian) have been chosen for the hire fleet for their stability. Hire prices are per canoe/ kayak. Canoes take maximum 3 Adults or 2 Adults and 2 small Children (under 8 - size dependant). Equipment included: Buoyancy aid, dry bag, map, paddle, canoe. A safety briefing is given to each customer as standard practice. Your safety is our priority. Hire Rates: - 1 hour: £10 - 3 hours: £22 - 6 hours: £33 - 24 hours: £45 Canoes and kayaks can be launched at Salhouse Broad, please make a small contribution by way of donation towards the upkeep of paths and access. Salhouse Broad is 40 acres in size and is part of the Broads executive area, a member of the national park family. It lies on the River Bure, close to Hoveton Great Broad and Wroxham Broad. Today, Salhouse Broad holds a mosaic of valuable Broadland habitats and species, including mature dry woodland, wet carr woodland, alder and gorse broom scrub and fen as well as open water. It is a special landscape rich in character and distinctiveness, wildlife, history and heritage.br br We havenbsp9 Canadian 15 or 16 ft long Old Towns (4x3 seaters and 5x2 seaters), and 3 kayaks (1x 3 seater and 2x single person). The canoes are Canadian Canoes and 3 man sit on Kayak that can be hired out from Salhouse Broad.
