If you’re in the Bay Area, going with Jan and the Hokahey is a no brainer. Excellent communication from booking to boarding. Great conversation and knowledge of the area. Beautiful boat with room indoors for a warm setting out of the breeze, and plenty of room to spread out and sit up high and see the views or lay on the trampoline mesh up front to listen to the waves. Excellent experience, would recommend to anyone.

Cove Ready Party Barge on Lewisville Lake

Our boat party experience was absolutely awesome! My daughter and her friends had a blast! My family was happy and quite comfortable. We had a group age range from 3 to 57 and everyone was appropriately accommodated from places to rest to places to have fun and party. The younger adults were in the front area with more than enough room to dance. The inside had a table and seating. My son and his kids occupied that area then us old heads that just wanted to relax were in the back. I believe were had a party of 15 and there was room for more. We had a skipper, a DJ, a chef, a host and a comedian all in one. His name is CapTim! He and his son are truly awesome people. Genuine & lovely. Idk if he had a playlist or just his algorithm but it was on point. We grill at home often so we naturally began putting meat on once we got sailing but CapTim was on that as well. I was prepared to do it myself but it actually felt good to relax and he made that possible. He also allowed my grandson whose birthday it was to be a co skipper. That was a really good experience for him. The younger adults adults were able to jump from the roof and hang out on the lily pad and the kids could’ve as well but parents just dipped them in water…. Overprotective lol So accommodating, professional and fun. Couldn’t have had a better time. Thanks Cap! I’m pretty sure we’ll do it again and def will be sending folks your way. God bless you

Me and the missus had one objective: sail for the Golden Gate and get that clean, cinematic sweep under the red steel. Simple, right? Except nothing in that water is simple. The currents run their own agenda out there—silent, relentless, and utterly indifferent to whatever romantic plan you brought with you. Captain Jan sized up the day the way a seasoned operator reads a dossier. No drama. No bravado. Just facts. “Sure,” he said, steady as a man who’s seen worse, “but it’ll be a one-way trip in these currents.” That was the moment I knew we were in good hands. And don’t let his youthful appearance fool you—he’s not that young. Argh! The boat—ahem, catamaran—Hokahey, was clean, dialed-in, and quietly ready for business. There’s a cozy spot to keep you out of the wind when the Bay starts throwing attitude, a bathroom (critical), and most importantly… snacks. The kind of detail that tells you the person running the show has done this before and knows what matters when you’re out there with nothing but gray sky and cold water for company. The wind didn’t cooperate—no grand, billowing sails cutting through the fog like a movie poster. But here’s the thing: the engine is quiet and makes serious speed. No rattling chaos, no grinding clatter—just a smooth push through the chop like the vessel had its own mission and we were simply along for the ride. We tracked close to Alcatraz, its silhouette looming like a warning. Closed in on the Golden Gate, the great red arc appearing and disappearing through the mist like something you weren’t supposed to find. We chose not to explore Angel Island—call it discretion, call it timing, call it a tactical decision—and cruised the dock area as well, soaking in the city’s edge where steel, salt, and history all collide. No rush. No worries. No forced itinerary. Just a smooth, delightful, private cruise in the Bay—executed with calm precision and a kind of confidence you can’t fake. Celebrated my birthday and graduation. We had an amazing time on the boat! Brian was incredibly informative and professional throughout the entire process. Communication was excellent — he responded quickly to any questions and provided clear, detailed instructions for parking and locating the boat, which made everything seamless. Upon arrival, the staff was warm and welcoming, setting a great tone for the experience. The captain and staff went above and beyond by offering the best route recommendation to avoid heavy fog, allowing us to fully enjoy the stunning views of Sausalito and San Francisco.

Brian’s boat is stunning, very well maintained and completely picturesque. The captain and first mate were very helpful and knowledgeable, they took wonderful pictures of us and kept us well informed of plans. Brian and Amy’s communication was great, parking was easy and finding the boat was a breeze. This was the best experience we could have hoped for, hope to be back again!
