Tour Duration: 16 Days | Tour Price: CAD 7,145.00/person | Tour Season: May - September Coastal Highlights Explorer of Yukon and Alaska Small group specialty tour operator, Ruby Range Adventure, is pleased to announce its newest tour, the Coastal Wilderness Explorer. Combining the best of coastal and interior Alaska and Canada’s Yukon, our new Coastal Wilderness Explorer takes you from the remote coves of Alaska’s Inside Passage to the wild interior of Alaska and Canada’s Yukon! Our tour begins with an 8-day small ship cruise aboard the recently re-furbished Wilderness Adventurer or Wilderness Explorer vessels (max 76 passengers) as they travel the remote and rugged coastline from Ketchikan to Juneau. Pristine wilderness, mind-blowing natural wonder, humpback whales and other untamed wildlife are found at every turn. Our small ships allow you to frequently disembark the ship to hike wild and woolly places (“skookum” to locals) or kayak along the shore looking for bears and near 10,000-year-old glaciers. At Juneau, you’ll disembark the ship and take a short 1-hour flight to Anchorage - Alaska’s largest and most cosmopolitan city - where your small group overland journey continues aboard a comfortable mini-coach with a knowledgeable driver guide. Our route takes us from Cook Inlet, over the coastal mountains, and into the vast Alaskan interior. We will visit Alaska’s most famous national park, home of the ‘great one,’ Mt. Denali. At over 20,000 feet (6000 meters) it's North America’s tallest peak. There we will travel deep into the heart of the park on a wildlife viewing tour that will provide close up views of grizzly and black bears, moose, caribou, Dall sheep, and bald and golden eagles. Our route continues northward to Fairbanks, Alaska’s 2nd largest city. Then well travel the well-named Top of the World Highway to Dawson City, in the heart of the Yukon and home of the Klondike Goldrush, the greatest in history. A final push south through the sprawling Yukon interior brings us to the charming riverside city of Whitehorse, the Yukon’s capital, where your journey ends.
