Experience ocean Kayaking to Kaneohe's Sunken Island! Rates as low as $82 per person.  • $96 – Visitor • $86 – Kama'aina / Military • $86 – Child (12 & under) Ahu’olaka, also known as the Kaneohe Sandbar, is a visually stunning, family-friendly destination on the island of Oahu. The sandbar is located on the east side of the island which is more commonly known as the Windward side.   The sandbar is extremely wide and large. It is about 1 mile (1.6 km) wide and 3 miles (4.8 km) long. You see the lush, rolling, monumental Ko’olau Mountains on one side and the vast oceanic horizon on the other. The sandbar itself is a ridge of white, soft sand that becomes visible during low tide. Highlights: - Kayak to the Kaneohe Sandbar - Great views of the mountains, especially when standing out on the sandbar - Paddle your kayak around unique reef formations on your way to the sandbar. - Spectacular views of the Ko’olau mountain range. - You will receive foam pads and straps that fit all 4-door vehicles or vehicles with rails or cross bars. - We’ll meet you a short 10-minute drive from the Kaneohe sandbar kayak launch location How to prepare: - Be sure you are capable of getting in and out of the kayak while floating in the water - Wear a swimsuit and reef-safe sunscreen 15L Dry bags are provided for items you want to keep dry - If you bring snacks and water, be sure to pack out the trash. - Life jackets, seatbacks, paddles, and a kayak leash are provided If you have any questions, we can answer those through GetMyBoat’s messaging platform before you pay.
