Short Handbook – Amalfi Coast Sailing with Captain Nicola Welcome Aboard! Welcome to your sailing adventure along the stunning Amalfi Coast! Please take a few minutes to read this guide. It answers common questions and helps ensure your trip is safe, smooth, and enjoyable. Hygiene & Cleanliness We take great care to keep the boat spotless for every guest: - Bathroom: Walls, floors, sink, shower, toilet, and toilet brush are disinfected and sterilized. - Kitchen: All pots, cutlery, dishes, and fridge are thoroughly cleaned. - Cabins & Living Areas: Beds are made with fresh linens, towels are provided, floors and furniture are sanitized. - Exterior: The boat’s exterior is washed regularly. Your comfort and safety are our top priorities! Luggage Space on a sailboat is limited. Soft, compact luggage is recommended. For longer trips, bring a small bag with only what you’ll need onboard; extra luggage can be safely stored ashore. Cabins & Electrical Safety - Each cabin has USB ports for phones. 220V outlets work only when moored in port. - The electrical system is carefully maintained, but we cannot accept responsibility for damage to personal devices. - Critical Safety Warning: Never leave appliances (fans, chargers, etc.) plugged in when leaving the boat. A small malfunction could start a fire, and in a few minutes the boat could be severely damaged or destroyed. Always unplug all devices when leaving. - Towels, sheets, and blankets are sanitized after each guest. Please leave used items on the bed. - Avoid getting upholstery or interior surfaces wet with seawater—the salt can cause damage and unpleasant odors. Kitchen - Fully equipped with necessary utensils. Salt, sugar, and olive oil are provided. - Only disposable plates and glasses are used for safety. Wash and dry all items before returning them. - Tap water is safe for drinking, cooking, and brushing teeth. But for drinking we recommend bottled water, which you’ll find in the seating area between the kitchen and the table. Store food safely and clean up after use. - Keep the gas valve closed when not in use. - Store liquids and perishable foods in airtight containers. Remove all leftovers when leaving. - Important: Cooking is not allowed while sailing for safety reasons. Bathroom & Toilet - The sink faucet is extendable and can be used for showers; the toilet also works as a bidet. - Always activate the pump when using the shower. - If water flow stops, check the tank and refill if needed (cap on the left side of the stern). - Toilet use: Only flush human waste. All other items, including toilet paper, must be disposed of in the trash. This protects the toilet motor and prevents damage. - Hot water can be very hot—please take care. - Please leave the bathroom clean for your fellow guests, as you would at home. Windows - Always close all windows carefully when leaving the boat. Sudden rain can occur unexpectedly, and even a small opening can cause serious water damage. - Do not open the captain’s desk window—electronic equipment is below and could be damaged. Waste - Space is limited. Please separate organic waste (basket under sink) from recyclables (plastic bottles should be pressed). Final disposal follows clear sorting. Wi-Fi - Wi-Fi is available Onboard Safety & Stability - The boat is never completely stable; waves from passing vessels or large ships can move it suddenly. - Secure all objects, including doors, cabinets, furniture, bottles and wine glasses. Payments & Extras - POS/ATM use is limited onboard; please bring cash for extras.

My passion is the sea. Anyone who knows me considers me a nice person: cheerful, reasonable, reliable, helpful, and honest. I do not like to submit to injustice. I am a certified instructor of the Italian Sailing Federation (FIV), and a deep connoisseur of the places I love along the coast. My knowledge of the area allows me to share unique experiences, from local history to food, wine and culture. I always try to leave a good memory of myself; I am not curious. I love sports, art, reading, and music. I enjoy eating well and drinking moderately but with quality. I always strive to explore topics that interest me. I love my children and I’m divorced. My hospitality is discreet: I am always open to dialogue and company, but I do not like to be intrusive. I strive to make my guests feel at ease, and I do my best to ensure their stay is pleasant, relaxing, and fun. My slogan: "The best captain faces the storm in the port tavern."
