Additional Terms & Information

-Person renting and operating the vessel must be at least 25 years of age and possess a valid Driver's License. - The Renter is responsible for any damage to the boat, the deposit is for incidentals. If further damage is done above the deposit the Renter is liable to pay the owner directly within 7 days. - The Renter is encouraged to get an insurance binder for the time of their rental. -Must have the ability and knowledge to launch the boat -By renting and operating the vessel you are attesting to having experience operating a power vessel and capable of navigating and operating the vessel safely upon Kachemak Bay/Cook Inlet. Currents can be very dangerous in Cook Inlet and caution must be exercised. May not anchor in rip tide areas. - Renter is responsible for fuel, and fuel must be refilled to level during the initial rental. - Renter must rinse the hull and deck, and clean and stow all equipment so that the next renter can use it. Renter must send photos to owner. If this does not happen the Deposit will be forfeited. If the vessel is not in condition to rent to the next customer the renter is responsible for the normal published daily rate + travel expenses and time of owner to travel to the boat to prepare it back to rental condition. -The Renter and all passengers are required to sign a Rental Agreement and Waiver of Liability before they will be allowed aboard the Vessel. - The Vessel may be used between 5:30 AM and 7:30 PM each day of the rental. Vessels reserved on multi-day rentals are NOT required to return to the Homer Harbor each night, but they also may not be in-use, on the fishing-grounds, or slept aboard before 5:30 AM or after 7:30 PM. Must be on the trailer in a secure and safe location or safely docked at a secure mooring location. - By taking delivery of the rental you acknowledge you understand how to operate the watercraft and if any questions arise they will call the owner. - Vessel may not be beached, or operated in areas which become non-navigable at low tide. Vessel Capacity and Operating Range: -Maximum Capacity of the vessel is 6 persons. Customers will adhere the the Cost Guard suggestions on the safety plate of the boat and will not exceed weight limits. -The operating range, for operators with previous experience operating a vessel on Kachemak Bay or Cook Inlet, is within a 25 mile radius of the Homer Harbor. The Southern limit of this range is the North-end of Flat Island. The Northern limit of the range is Anchor Point.
