Untethered is the only boat of its kind in the bay that offers a glimpse into boat life on a catamaran designed to be as much fun to live on as it is to sail. We can work with you to make unique experiences a reality. Routes Our sailing catamaran offers some of the most picturesque and exciting routes in the San Francisco Bay Area. Whether you're looking to enjoy a relaxing sail with family and friends or explore the area's most famous landmarks, our routes have got you covered. Sail under the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, glide past the historic Alcatraz Island, and take in stunning views of San Francisco's skyline. Discover hidden coves and beaches that only locals know about, or simply enjoy the peaceful serenity of the Bay. Do I need a captain? We require documented prior experience on sailing catamarans, relevant United States Coast Guard certifications, and referrals to take the helm of Untethered. When you charter Untethered with a crew, you do not need to have any sailing experience. You will be joined by a professional captain (and possibly other crew-members) who will be responsible for your safety and manoeuvring the yacht. The cost of the captain is in addition to the cost of the charter and must be paid directly to the captain, as required by law. Overnight rates are also available. We can provide you with a list of captains that're qualified to join you abord Untethered in case you do not have a Captain in your network.
