CAPTAIN: This is a recreational vessel so you will need to hire a captain directly. We provide a pre-approved Captain contact list, but you have your choice of who to hire. We recommend budgeting $100/hr + gratuity. You may hire a different qualified captain through our owner-approval process. WHAT TO EXPECT: This 26FT Sea Ray Sundeck bowrider is a perfect boat for a day on the lake. It is equipped with a Bluetooth sound system, bathroom (YES this boat has a small bathroom compartment!), cooler, sink, shower, bow lounge seating & swim platform. Bring your own food and drinks. WEATHER: If you are unable to use the boat due to dangerous weather conditions or heavy sustained rain, (actually happening at time of rental, not based on forecast conditions) you can elect to either reschedule at no charge or to receive refund of the boat rental rate less any booking fees charged to you at the time of your reservation. FUEL: Not included. The estimated fuel cost for a cruise to the playpen and back is $125. LOCATION: 31st street harbor DRIVE IT YOURSELF: Experienced boaters can drive this boat themselves ($75 pre-departure check out required for first self driving rental with us).If you want to drive this boat yourself you will need to provide a boating license or have significant experience operating a similar boat. A member of our staff will conduct an orientation with you to make sure you are comfortable with the unique features of this Sea Ray. A $1000 damage deposit will be collected prior to the trip for DIY reservations. This boat has a commercial insurance policy with a bareboat charter endorsement which, via the bareboat charter agreement, adds the charterer as a named insured. You may also decide to purchase additional insurance if you would like. Any DRIVER of the boat must have at least 2 years of experience operating similar sized boats (within 10 feet length), must not have any criminal convictions or please of no contest, and must not have any marine insurance losses/claims in the last 10 years, and no license suspensions/violations (including auto) in the last 5 years.

If you want a boat where you can "Drive it yourself", no captain, Chris is the one to go to. Chris is very responsive and pays great attention to detail when going over the listing and everything that it entails. I did the "no captain" experience and everything was very smooth. Taking out the boat for the orientation was simple and to the point.

WEATHER: If you are unable to use the boat due to dangerous weather conditions or heavy sustained rain, (actually happening at time of rental, not based on forecast conditions) you can elect to either reschedule at no charge or to receive a 75% refund of the boat rental rate. LOCATION: We are docked at 31st street harbor which is about a 10 minute taxi from downtown. There is paid parking available nearby. CAPTAIN: All prices listed are for the boat rental only, you must hire a US Coast Guard licensed captain to pilot the boat. We can recommend several captains that are familiar with the operation of this particular vessel, and you will pay the captain directly. You are not limited to only the captains on the list, you are able to hire a different USCG licensed captain. We recommend a budget of $80-$100 + gratuity for the captain. This process is not unique to our company. It is a US Coast Guard law. RENTAL AGREEMENT: A boat rental agreement will be sent by email, following the booking confirmation, for your review and signature. This agreement must be signed for the rental to proceed. WAIVERS: Our insurance company requires that all passengers sign a liability waiver. This waiver must be signed by all passengers prior to the boat's departure from the dock.
