After you book the boat we will send you a list of captains who are familiar with our boats with contact information so you can reach out to them directly. Legally, the renter must pay the captain directly, not through the GetMyBoat platform. Bareboat Rental Regulations | This is a bareboat rental, and Coast Guard regulations require that you hire and pay a captain directly. You should budget $75-$100/hour plus gratuity for a captain. The boat operator must be a US Coast Guard licensed master with a minimum 50T endorsement. After you book the boat we will send you a list of captains who are familiar with our boats with contact information so you can reach out to them directly. You may choose a captain from our list, or if you have some other licensed captain in mind please submit their credentials to us for review. Bareboat charter regulations also require that the renter is responsible for onboard consumables including fuel. Your fuel expense will not be more than $150 for our most popular itinerary to the downtown "playpen" anchorage and back to the harbor.
