I am an Independent Fly Fishing Guide on the Kenai River, here in Cooper Landing, Alaska . This is not a summer job for me, this is my passion! Teaching people to catch fish on a fly rod with barb-less hooks is what I love to do I take great pride in teaching proper river ethics as well as netting you that fish of a lifetime . Be aware of the many first year guides on the Kenai River when planning your fishing trip of a lifetime. I have been guiding for 17 years , so I know my way around a river. I teach Spey and Single-Hand fly casting techniques for Salmon ,Trout and Steelhead. I've guided many years in Breckenridge, Colorado as well as the Oregon Coast (where I winter) to Alaska. Bringing people close to nature is what I love to do.

Slow down and relax
We do fish hard , but also know then its time for a sip of coffee or a hot lunch , I see so many people that float down the Kenai only see the water and never to take the time to look around ... I feel that fish feel anxiety in the lines that my guests are holding , and the fish tend not to like it .. you know its always the guy who don't really "care" about catching fish who gets the most and the biggest out of a group who we call CHOMPERS..
