SCHOONER ROSE — VESSEL TERMS & EVENT POLICIES Welcome aboard the Schooner Rose! These policies help us provide a safe, enjoyable and well-organized celebration for you and your guests. Your confirmed proposal, GetMyBoat reservation and any signed charter agreement will contain the final terms for your event. CHARTER AND DOCKSIDE TIME Your event begins and ends at the times stated in your confirmed reservation. Please encourage guests to arrive promptly, as late arrival does not automatically extend the event. Additional dockside time is available for $990 per hour, subject to vessel, crew and marina availability. This rate applies when additional time is requested or required for: • Early access, decorating, vendor setup or pre-voyage activities • Extending the celebration after the vessel returns to the dock • Removing decorations, personal property, catering supplies or equipment • Cleanup that continues beyond the reserved event time Any extension should be arranged in advance whenever possible. Unplanned overtime caused by the charter party, guests or vendors will be added to the final bill. ENTIRELY DOCKSIDE EVENTS Events may be held entirely dockside if desired. Dockside celebrations offer the atmosphere and character of the Schooner Rose without getting underway and may accommodate up to the vessel’s approved dockside capacity. Dockside events remain subject to marina regulations, weather conditions, approved guest count, sound restrictions, staffing requirements and vessel availability. Please request a customized dockside-event quote. CLEANING Ordinary post-event cleaning is included unless otherwise stated in the confirmed proposal. An additional cleaning fee of up to $900 may be charged when the vessel is left unusually messy or requires excessive cleaning, waste removal or special treatment. Examples include excessive trash, abandoned decorations, food or beverages ground into surfaces, stains, vomit, wax, glitter, confetti or spills requiring professional treatment. Cleanup time extending beyond the reserved charter may also be billed at the $990 hourly dockside rate. Cleaning charges do not cover damage, missing equipment or repairs, which will be charged separately based on the actual documented cost. Glitter, confetti, fireworks, open flames and unapproved candles are not permitted aboard. WEDDING OFFICIANT The Captain may serve as wedding officiant for an additional $300, subject to availability and advance confirmation. The couple is responsible for obtaining the marriage license, satisfying all legal requirements, providing any required witnesses and submitting or coordinating all necessary documents. The officiant fee does not include marriage-license charges, government fees or services outside the agreed ceremony. ADDITIONAL STAFF Additional event staff are available for $70 per staff member, per hour. Staff time may include setup, early boarding, guest service, food and beverage assistance, the event itself, cleanup and breakdown. The number of required crew or event staff will be determined by the operator based on guest count, itinerary, catering, entertainment, alcohol service and safety requirements. WEATHER, ROUTE AND CAPTAIN’S AUTHORITY The Captain has final authority over boarding, departure, route, sailing operations, docking, passenger conduct and all safety decisions. Weather, river conditions, marine traffic, mechanical considerations, regulatory requirements or other conditions may require changes to the route, schedule or amount of time under sail. The vessel may operate under engine power when conditions make sailing impractical or unsafe. The Captain may delay, modify or terminate an event when reasonably necessary for the safety of the vessel, passengers or crew. Any operator-initiated cancellation or rescheduling will be handled according to the confirmed reservation and applicable GetMyBoat policies. GUEST COUNT AND BOARDING The final guest count must be accurate and may not exceed the vessel’s approved capacity. Unapproved guests may be denied boarding. Guests must follow boarding instructions and remain clear of restricted areas, operating equipment, lines and rigging. Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. All passengers must participate in required safety instructions and promptly follow directions from the Captain and crew. ALCOHOL AND GUEST CONDUCT When BYOB service is approved, the chartering party is responsible for ensuring that alcoholic beverages are provided and consumed lawfully. Alcohol may be consumed only by guests who are at least 21 years old. Illegal drugs, underage drinking, disorderly behavior, harassment, fighting and dangerous or abusive conduct are prohibited. The Captain or crew may refuse boarding, stop alcohol consumption, return the vessel to the dock or require a guest to leave when conduct threatens safety or the enjoyment of others. No refund or extension will be provided when an event is shortened or terminated because of unsafe, unlawful or seriously disruptive conduct by the chartering party or its guests. Smoking and vaping are prohibited except in a location specifically approved by the Captain. FOOD, VENDORS, DECORATIONS AND ENTERTAINMENT Outside food, caterers, musicians, entertainers, rental equipment and other vendors require advance approval. Vendors must follow vessel, marina and safety requirements. Decorations must be approved and safely secured. Nails, screws, permanent adhesives and anything likely to stain or damage the vessel are prohibited. All decorations and vendor property must be removed by the end of the reserved time unless another arrangement has been confirmed. Music and amplified sound must comply with marina rules, local ordinances and the Captain’s instructions. DAMAGE AND PERSONAL PROPERTY The chartering party is responsible, to the extent permitted by law, for damage, loss, excessive cleaning, fines and additional expenses caused by the chartering party, its guests or its vendors beyond ordinary wear and tear. The Schooner Rose is not responsible for personal belongings that are lost, damaged or left aboard except where responsibility cannot lawfully be excluded. Items left behind should be reported promptly. Shipping, delivery or special retrieval expenses may be charged to the owner of the property. CANCELLATIONS AND CHANGES Deposits, final payments, cancellations, rescheduling and refunds are governed by the confirmed proposal, GetMyBoat reservation and signed charter agreement. Changes to the guest count, schedule, menu, staffing, itinerary, vendors or event format must be approved in writing and may affect the price. ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF MARITIME RISKS Boarding and spending time aboard a vessel involves inherent risks, including vessel movement, wet or uneven surfaces, gangways, stairs, changing weather, wind, marine traffic, docking activity, lines, rigging and the ordinary conditions of being on or near the water. By booking or boarding the Schooner Rose, the chartering party and guests acknowledge these inherent risks, agree to exercise reasonable care and agree to follow all safety directions. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the chartering party and guests voluntarily assume the inherent risks of the marine and dockside activities in which they participate. The chartering party is responsible for the conduct of its guests and vendors and for claims or losses caused by their unlawful conduct, negligence or violation of these policies. Nothing in these terms is intended to release or limit the vessel owner, operator, Captain or crew from liability that cannot lawfully be waived, including any responsibility that applicable federal maritime or state law does not permit to be excluded. Nothing in these terms waives any legally non-waivable passenger right. FINAL AGREEMENT These posted policies are a general overview and do not replace the confirmed GetMyBoat reservation, passenger information, safety requirements or signed charter agreement. If any provision conflicts with applicable law, it will be interpreted or limited only to the extent necessary to comply with that law, while the remaining provisions continue in effect.
