Enjoy the pleasure to rent a catamaran for you, your family, your friends or even in lovers. Come with us and discover Saona or Catalina island. SAONA Discovered in 1494 by Christopher Columbus, Saona is the biggest island of the East National Park. Covering 120 sqm, it has been a natural reserve ever since 1975, and offers a wide range of diversity in its fauna, flora and coral reefs. We board the Quetzal in the morning around 8.30, and then sail for an hour and a half to Saona. Once there and for the rest of the morning, we’ll enjoy one of the most gorgeous, turquoise-water, white-sand beach of Dominican Republic. Lunch will then be served at a local restaurant, around a freshly fished lobster. You will be able to relax on hammocks, sun loungers and canopy beds under the generous shade of majestic coconut trees. Quetzal will then sail to Catuano, where snorkelers will be able to observe a wide range of tropical fishes which have made home in the remaining of an old pier their home. We’ll then sail to the natural swimming pool of Las Palmillas, a magical secluded place with the clearest of waters. The highlights of this spot are the giant starfishes. Drinks and refreshments will be served in the water before a smooth sail back to Bayahibe along the coast.   CATALINA Discovered in 1494 by Christopher Columbus, Catalina Island has been part of the East National Park since 1975. Covering only 10 km⊃2;, this small island is a marvel with its white sandy beaches and rich coral and fish reefs. A few kilometers from the coast of La Romana, is the paradise for fans of free snorkeling with fins, mask and snorkel. Board at 9 am on to the Quetzal and sail for an hour to the island of Catalina. You will arrive around 10am, where you will be able to snorkel “The Wall”, you’ll admire beautiful corals. Afterwards we will sail to the other side of the island, to the “Aquarium” where you will enjoy a lovely meal on board of the catamaran. After lunch you will have time to relax on the beach of Catalina, snorkel and see loads of different kinds of fishes. We will leave around 3 pm to sail back towards Bayahibe.
